QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) It's not usually this ridiculous though. THe funny thing is that a lot of these players who are making good plays have played crappy D most of the year. It always seems ridiculous to me.

If we keeping hitting the ball like this, we'll get more runs tonight.

Ugh. This is the type of game in the past where the Twins would get two bloop hits/infield hits, and then a big 3 run homer by someone like Kielty or Koskie against the Sox.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) Ugh. The one time not to hit and run. We just can't get any break. Isn't that always the case when we play the Twins in the 2nd half of the season?

Wasn't someone making fun of Tiffee earlier against lhp?

Just out of curiosity: when's the last time we had a double (not including Ozuna's chopper)?

Mercy, he had absolutely no clue where the wall was.

Mays is keeping the ball down now. Hopefully, we didn't blow our chance to bust this game open.

The great Mike Mussina just gave up 8 runs in an inning.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) Is this something to get excited about? I have NO faith in Tampa to maintain a lead. Better than being down 7-2

Buehrle looks terrific so far. It seems the pitch he's talked about working on lately is his change.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:27 AM) Im more worried about Rowand than Dye. We knew Dye was a streaky hitter. REAL hot and REAL cold. I'd prefer Dye be REAL hot in September. Rowand on the other hand. Just real worried about him. Couldn't agree more with you. And I'm not sure if I'll get bashed for this, but Rowand's had a lot of bloop hits this season. He could very easily be batting .250 this season.

QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) Johnny Gomes would look good in LF for the Sox. Have Pods be DH. If you think Pods is bad on defense....Gomes is much worse. He's a DH all the way.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) The pessimists are unusually quiet so far... Well, if we were complaining about the Sox going out to a 2-0 early lead, it would show that we're not really Sox fans. You want a complaint, fine: Dye and Rowand continue to suck, and Timo is a disgraceful leadoff man. Is that better?

QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:13 AM) One White Sox hitter and 2 derogatory comments. All he did was hit the ball hard. Timo tries to be way too cute at the plate. His skills don't match his mindset.

QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Personally, I don't think doping is that bad in sports. How is this any worse than a batter getting Lasik surgery that he doesn't really need to get better vision at a baseball? Lasik surgery = legal Many of these drugs/steroids players are taking = illegal For everyone that think steroids isn't bad, wait til these players are between the ages of 40 and 45, and start dropping dead from heart attacks. If you follow wrestling, you know that an amazing amount of wrestlers die way too early, and steroids can't be helping their bodies.
