  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Because of the fact that Shingo gets rocked by Cleveland. Why have him come in, have a chance to give up a couple runs then have to run out the back end. It makes plenty of sense. No, coming out of the ASB, there's no better time to get Shingo some work, as well as confidence, by having him come out in a 5 run game, and let him do the job. It's not like Viz has had a lot of success either.
  2. If we see Viz instead of Shingo in the 9th, how can you not believe the rumor?
  3. Some very good defense by the Sox today. Who will we see in the 9th?
  4. Viz is warming up. Bye Shingo!
  5. Rare hit by Cotts allowed against a righty batter. Might we see Jenks today?
  6. Is Cotts trying out for the Bandits?
  7. Good catch by Dye there. Nice change from the outfielder he was earlier in the year where he dropped more than his fair share.
  8. Cotts + wet baseball = nervous Sox fan
  9. That was one of the quickest 1-2-3 innings I've ever seen by the Sox hitters in the top of the 8th. Throw strikes Neal!
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) Shingo could pitch unless he'd already been traded. Probably would want him to anyway...make sure he's still all right. Trust me, if we have an agreement in place, or are close to trading him, he won't pitch today.
  11. Cotts is warming up. It will be interesting if we don't see even a sign of Shingo. It would pretty much confirm all the trade rumors.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 07:19 PM) There, that's our 4th double today...Are y'all happy now? But...but...but.....we haven't hit any homers this series.
  13. Gotta love these 2 out RBI.
  14. If the Sox were to lose this game, the headline better read: "Indians come from behind thanks to Tadano"
  15. Tadano didn't even come close to pausing in the stretch there before he pitched.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) That streak is honestly amazing, very underlooked. Especially considering how close he was to getting tossed this game.
  17. Good job by Buehrle there. Congrats to him on another 6 inning start.
  18. 2 outs on balls hit right at Sox defenders. Keep the ball down here Mark.
  19. This umpire isn't giving Buehrle the outside corner anymore.
  20. Crap, not a good start to the 6th inning. Was it another bad break on the ball by Pods?
  21. Lets go Mark! Don't let the Indians think they have a chance.
  22. QUOTE(Tadahito15 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) 3 runs this series for the Indians so far very impressive They needed cold feet by the umpire to score those 2 runs this inning. No way the umpire was going to give Buehrle that pitch to Belliard after he didn't eject him from the game. It's a shame, cause it sure looked to be a strike.
  23. 6-1 now, runner on 3rd, one out. Even if they score the runner here, getting out of this inning with a 6-2 lead is ok.
