  1. Fantastic at-bat by A.J. there! We should have Willie pinch run for A.J.
  2. Good job by Vizcaino. I want to see the Juan Uribe of 2004 back. The same guy who would throw rockets over to first base and hit the ball hard on a consistent basis (he wouldn't be the first MLB player to stop working hard after receiving a big guaranteed contract).
  3. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) I never thought much of Wickman, but on a 3-2 pitch to Rowand he suckered him on that low one out of the strike zone Problem for Wickman was that he gave Rowand 2 meatballs right over the plate that could have been hit quite far. I'm not sure why he's not throwing his sinker more.
  4. With the wind blowing in so much, we have way too many players who've been swinging for the fences tonight. Also, Dye looks awful at the plate. He seems to have absolutely no balance, and he hasn't hit a ball hard in a while.
  5. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 01:22 AM) Broussard strikes out. Marte bringing it tonight. Would have been nice to see Marte in to face Sizemore. Oh well, that's second guessing....and Contreras had been pitching well (even though he was over 100 pitches).
  6. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 01:18 AM) We are swinging the bat terrible right now. I know its been mentioned a million times but I know we are gonna improve. I just hope its soon, its either because we been facing good pitching or just cause they aint in their groove. I'm shocked at how many few solid hits we've got in this Indians series. Very few balls have been squarely hit, and some players (Uribe, Dye) look like he couldn't hit a little league pitcher.
  7. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) Fathom, that'll be Carl Everett soon enough I guess I don't think Frank will be back anytime soon. Also, Everett isn't exactly an outfield option, IMO.
  8. We need another right handed hitting outfielder on our roster. With Ozuna being our only utility player/reserve who hits righty, it hurts us with matchups at the end of the game.
  9. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) There goes the lead. Crap. Still, if that's all Contreras gives up, I'm still happy because most of us aren't expecting much out of him. We're paying him like 7 million this season. If we're not expecting much out of a guy who's making about the 4th most on our team, then KW should be fired.
  10. One batter too late for Ozzie. Shades of last year.
  11. Why do you pipe a 3-2 fastball in a one run lead?
  12. Yes sir! That ball seemed to hang up forever.....Crisp almost caught up to it.
  13. PH for Crede here? We could have Timo hit for him, and move Uribe to 3b and Ozuna to SS. Maybe Podsednik?
  14. Very nice. It would be great to have someone on for Rowand, who looked good in his last AB.
  15. Carl Everett has absolutely no chance to steal a base. With 2 outs, there's a better chance that he'll score from first on an extra base hit than to be safe on a straight steal.
  16. What the f*** was that? It's the 6th inning in a tied game, not the time to try something like that.
  17. Konerko's getting the day off tomorrow. Him and Dye seem to be swinging a toothpick at the plate right now.
  18. This would be a great time for Konerko to get a hold of one. He's been taking too many quality pitches lately.
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) That was quick. This one is going to be a battle of the pens, boys. That should be a good thing for us. I disagree. Besides Wickman, the Indians pen has kicked our ass this season. Bettancourt, Riske, Miller, and Rhodes all have looked sharp so far.
  20. Thing is, when Rowand is swinging well, he almost always hits the ball hard against lefties.
  21. Much better swings by Rowand there. Even on the pitch he missed, he showed better form than the chop swing he had lately.
  22. Konerko is just not making solid contact right now. I'm a little worried he's just going to become a home run hitter like Frank became the last few years.
  23. WOW.....you're not going to see a ball overthrown by that much ever again in your life (unless Cade McNown makes a comeback).
