Widger should have had Blake at 2nd, but his throw was up the line. Then, Widger just showed terrible form at trying to keep the pitch in front of him. Good K by Garcia though.

QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) at least rowand put some good wood on it, last few times out its been tapper to short everytime it seems like I have serious concern about this team's ability to hit a good fastball. Seems like we have a lot of guys that can be jammed easily.

Man, Millwood looks to be having an easy time with this Sox lineup.

Hey guys, you might want to swing. This ump sucks, yes. However, you have to adjust. -

Wow, that pitch to Everett was way high. -

I think teams are going to be able to jam the living hell out of Bartlett. He doesn't seem very strong with the bat, especially on inside pitches. Guzman was very overrated by guys like Hawk, but he still always seemed to get a clutch hit for the Twins leading off late in the game. -

Personally, I'm very happy with Cuddyer at 3b in regards to the Sox. He's messed up a couple of plays this series that Koskie would have easily made in the past. The Twins infield used to kill the Sox because of the great range of their players. It's not nearly the same anymore. -

Iguchi looks great tonight though. I still wish that we moved Rowand up to the 3rd spot in the order against lefties. -

Santana has an enormous plate to pitch to right now. You're not going to score 5 runs in a game against him with an aluminum bat if he gets this type of ump. -

Santana's a stud...plain and simple. It's not as easy as some thing about just sitting on a pitch. Santana's fastball comes out of his hand the same way his change-up. Thus, by the time you have to decide, it's too late. You have to play a perfect game to beat Santana, and we definitely aren't. -

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 01:44 AM) That was Tad. Uribe gets the job done and got it to Tad with more than enough time. I know that botched DP was Tad's fault. I was more making an observation about what I've seen over the course of this first week. I was amazed at his throwing accuracy last year, but this year, he seems to be high on all his throws. -

Anyone else think Uribe's having a tough time fielding this season? He doesn't seem to be picking up balls cleanly, and his throws aren't nearly as accurate as they were last season. Good job by Buehrle there keeping the Sox in the game. -

I said earlier, and I'll say it again.....Buehrle's throwing way too many fastballs tonight. No one is chasing any of his pitches either. I actually wouldn't mind taking him out right now. He obviously doesn't have it, and the Twins have the chance to blow the game wide open. -

Here's my thought on Crede: I don't like him, I wish we had a better option at 3b. However, I highly doubt that Ozuna could play 3b for an entire season. Remember, the most popular player in town is always the back-up quarterback. I'll still root for Crede because if he does well, it helps the Sox. -

Santana's mowing us down now. You need to play a near perfect game to beat him.....and we had Mr. Crede. -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) f*** that. Cruddy choked away our 2-0 lead with one horrible play. And you know he isn't going to help us get any of those runs back with his pitiful bat. Yes, but it was just a matter of time before Buehrle allowed some runs this game. He seems to be overthrowing everything, and has got all his pitches up. Giving up a 2 strike hit to Juan Castro is not a good idea headed into the meat of the Twins order. -

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 01:15 AM) Inning over. I have a feeling we aren't going to win this game. I'm just content we won the first 2 games of this series. I'll take 2 out of 3 against the Twins every time we play them. -

Pablo also adds the speed dimension that Crede absolutely fails to do. If we're going to play for a run every time we get someone on base, might as well have more speed in the lineup. -

That replay pissed me off even more. Uribe had an easy play on that ball. I've officially throwing in my name for the Crede sucks bandwagon. -

QUOTE(Disco72 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) Crede was just trying to make a play.... he would have had to get that ball last year with Valentin at SS.... just bad luck. There's absolutely no excuse for that play by Crede. He knows that they have a righty shift on for Lecroy, and that he runs so slow. Crede seems to be a step slower this season in the field. -

Uribe would have had an easy play there with the slowest player in the majors running to first.
