Yep and Stoney even said Kimbrel mentally doesn’t like not being the closer. I personally think it’s a horrible decision keeping him on the roster for a role he doesn’t want.
On WS Talk podcast, Stoney said he thought Kimbrel is likely to be traded if a team has an injury to their bullpen. Doesn’t sound like anything imminent.
I feel like he’s going to sign a deal like Rodon but for a few million less per year. Gives the signing team some protection where they can bring him back if he has a big year. Have a very hard time seeing any team give him four years.
Yeah seemed he was referring to SP, but IIRC he said he thought RF should be fine but the front office is always looking for ways to improve a team and that no one should be untouchable.
