Just nothing linking the Sox to him. After a while, no news means no interest, IMO.

I still remember the few years where the Sox thought they were smarter than other teams and drafted a ton of closers in the top ten rounds. The goal was to build depth and not have to spend a lot on relievers in the future.

Use it to pay the salary of a pitcher in a trade and get a backup catcher. I absolutely don’t think Conforto happens. For the record, I don’t think there’s a shot of getting a team to pick up Kimbrel’s whole contract while getting a hint of substance back.
