You’re clearly not dumb, but saying his absolute ineffectiveness with two outs and RISP isn’t a big deal seems inaccurate to me. He doesn’t need to be benched or demoted, he just needs to do better in that situation

Sox are basically right in the range they were at the same point of 2005. They obviously should be safe but that 5 game series lurking in Cleveland could be dangerous if they let the Indians keep making up more ground.

Sure, things can get uncomfortable if Jays sweep the Sox and Indians sweep the Rangers. Sox just lost 2.5 games in 4 days.

The good news if he’s back would mean he turned this slump around. No way they bring him back if he hits .200 with no power the rest of the way

Not if they can acquire someone they like more for similar (EE)

They won’t bring Cesar back if he struggles like this. Way too many middle infield options available this offseason.
