only time will tell, pitching wins games....if we keep looking to teh future we might not get anywhere....we now have one of the top rotations in the big leagues....i think freddy will feel more comfortable here with ozzie as his coach, u have not stnace on this trade yet and you should calm down cause in a few weeks you might be eating your words....or others might be eating thiers...i guess we'll see what happens

I was estatic after the win today, for about 7 minutes until i found out about this trade....i am still not sure what to think about it...i am more in a somber mood....olivo was one of my favorite players on the team and i always pull for a catcher being my position.... but pitching does win games.....but my thoughts are that we should have seen this coming, kenny brought up jaime burke the last few weeks instead of bringing up another pitcher.....what team in thier right mind has 3 catchers on the roster??? please tell me this....none of us even saw this kenny has been planning this for awhile now....only time will tell if it pays off....kenny also says that "he wants to win and he is not done yet" which really gets my mind wondering on what the hell is going to happen.....we all know that this was a shot to the head.. we had the rumors that garcia might be coming here but Olivo gone i dont think anyone even thought of that....so what will happen in the next few weeks might get this board jumpin....even though this was a shot to the heart for a lot of us only time will tell if it will pay off or not....so i am not gonna speak bad about it until i see freddy pitch a few games for us.....also give props to olivo for the player that he is....he went into this game knowing he was gonna be traded and still produced for us....

The only way I will like this deal is if freddy signs long term and the money that was brought in with this trade is able to resign maggs.....i still liked the maggs and rauch for ortiz and jones better, i thought olivo was an untouchable.....

why the hell would kenny give up olivo.....i am sooo confused right now....i wanted freddy garcia but i am hopin this is a joke for olivo's sake

there are some aspects to ozzieball i like but there are some things that make me wonder....like starting gload on right on friday....just think if timo would have started we probably would have won that game too

yea 3 years left at 12.5 this year.....maggs is at 14 this year and no years left.... it makes it a little more intriging to me.....Ortiz's is at 6.2 mil i dont know how many years left...

Well, I know a lot of us were probably not planning on getting the win against the scrubs today, let alone Felix Diaz getting the win. Maybe this is a sign of hope...with our rotation playin the way they are right now this could be a good thing. Maybe this game will give felix the confidence to get it goin. I think it was a huge for him that he was left in after the HR and retired 4 straight batters. We have a HUGE stretch of games until the all star break and if the ortiz deal goes through and diaz can step it up we should be alright....any thoughts?

I am a huge Paully fan....there are always people discounting him everytime he goes into a slump......It happens in baseball....hopefully this cubs will bring our sox out of this little funk like it seems to do every year....
