-
this isnt even a question Dimaggio all the way....was it him or Gerig who was from chitown?
-
funny how most people were so depressed about losing BIG MO but seem to love the fact maggs will be gone very soon
-
I would just like to point out that Paully is the freakin man....batting just under .300 on pace for 40 HR's and 120 RBI's....shame on any of you who ever lost faith in him .....i would rather lose maggs and free up some money so we wont lose this under-appreciated gem....by far my favorite player on the sox right now
-
well i remember when i did the first vote it stopped me at 25 times, but i dont read anywhere that you can only vote 25 times on this last chance vote so who knows
-
so vote 25 times for frank....then put in a different email address and vote 25 times for paully
-
just like all sox fans to not have any hope at all
-
it says on whitesox.com that frank is a close 2nd with paully right behind him so who knows don't take the attitude that your vote doesnt count....might as well try unless the 5-10 minutes it takes you is way too much time for your busy schduele of reading posts
-
Ok well matsui is leading the last chance vote which ends tomorrow (wed) thomas is 2nd and Paully is 3rd.....The yankees make up like half the all star team...lets not let them have another one...we all know paully or big frank both deserve this...if 200 of us vote the 25 allowed times thats 5000 votes so that is pretty good....so acctually you can stay on your ass and vote just goto VOTE CLICK ME lets do this
-
what do you expect he didnt bust out the roids til at least 93/94
-
he makes a nice hit....then he f***s up and TOTALLY REDEEMS HIMSELF.....now i remember why i was pissed he was playin today
-
Ok it clearly was......but i was pissed anyway.....hahaha i wonder what the hell ozzie was saying....that concession guy was flippin his lid.........at least gload made up for last week
-
"There could be additional pitching help or even a No. 1-type of catcher on the horizon. But if they are coming to the White Sox, it's a good bet they are coming in early July." looks like we will see whats in store in the near future
-
was browsing ESPN.com and found this....I like it I like it a lot...i would like to see us move up.......maybe a little different in my head but I'll take it ESPN power rankings what do you guys think....
-
you'd be suprised
-
if you build a playoff run.....jerry's money will come he owns 2 sports teams....he has more money then steinbrenner....he spends about 250,000 for the bulls per year.....if we sell tickets and get the hype goin there will be more money in the organization guarenteed....so its up too us too
-
George Bell just called......He likes the trade As it settles in my mind everyday now i am starting to like it more...almost as much as the one that got sammy off the southside....only a day or two now when this site starts b****ing beyond belief or estatic with joy.....as of now i am optimistic
-
very interesting, very interesting indeed
-
WOW at least we dont have to pay for a piece of s***
-

"Question. How many times has a starter picked up in season helped his team win the World Series? Answer. Tom Zachary was picked up on waivers from the Washington Senators in August, 1928 by the New York Yankees. In October of that year, he won a start for the Yankees in the World Series. Since then only one pitcher has been traded in season to a World Series winner and also won a World Series start for his new team. That was Mike Torrez, who was traded to the Yankees from Oakland April 27th, 1977. He went on to win two games of the 1977 Series including a complete game clincher in game six. Oakland was 11-7 at the time of the trade." not that this means anything
-
Gammons: "By the way, I would be careful throwing "Andruw Jones" and "Hall of Fame" in the same sentence!" i dont like that one bit
-
whats funny is, is that our sox our on the front page of the major sports pages (espn.com/mlb.com) and both seem to lean towards it being a huge upper for the sox.....the best part of it all is that below the trade headlines it also reads that we took the series from the cubs and beat them 9-4 today.....GETTIN SOME RESPECT FINALLY
