Three White Sox DSL prospects voted to allstar game
There are some interesting guys for sure. One would think that with only one team, instead of the two some organizations have, that they might have a better record than 11-21.

2026 Draft Class Signing Thread
You would lose the slot value for example 200k and the ability to go 5% over without penalty so total loss would be 210 from your pool.

2026 Draft Class Signing Thread
Man, while the Braves were complimented on their draft class and shrewd spending of their pool, I kinda feel for their senior signs picks 8-10. "Congratulations we are drafting you to be an Atlanta Brave! By the way we are going to pay you $500". They didn't get 500k, they each got 500 bucks. I think I might refuse to sign on principal and let them lose about 200k from their pool. I guess that ends your career but wow.

In order to sign #11 at over slot, you have to know two things: first that 1-10 will sign because if one doesn't that pool of money is lost. Secondly you need to know what the $ value is so that you can offer #11 (and hopefully more picks 12-19) a firm amount. The implication being that 1-10 are done deals as well.

Looking back at last year's signings, there were 2 minimal dollar senior signs in the top 10 rounds for the WS. Fauske and Hodge only 2 significant over slot. Gabe Davis and Shelton about 10% over. Depino was signed for less than 50% and cracked top 30 prospects though will probably be off post draft. So nutshell, they mixed and matched well. I think at least two more good ones today. Last year no one 11-20 was over 50k beyond the 150k slot.

Gonzo & Eisert Traded to Pirates for Comp Pick and Jaden Woods
I loved that Gonzalez finally had some success. He was log jammed here. Getting something for him could have been selling high. We have no idea what other teams thought of him value wise. I had proposed him keying a Sonny Gray and Chapman deal if Chapman's 2027 was locked in. Likely Boston would have laughed. I haven't seen anyone mention what would happen if Gonzalez was disappointed he got sent down and struggled for a week or two. With 3 years of OPS below .700, what do you think would have happened to his value?

Official 2026 MLB Draft Thread - Picks & Discussion
I like that there definitely looks to be some talent out there. You should lock up today's selections tonight, though that should have pretty much already been done. You have all night to bargain with the remainder of the possibilities out there. I think one is our's already and now you try to grab one or two that maybe you didn't know if they would be available or they didn't get their number and now readjust.

My bad. Thought he was already on it. Yet another reason to open spots potentially. Thanks

How would anyone value Bolemon? Already had brace procedure a couple years ago and now has real issues with his UCL. I wonder if NIL money may disappear and he could get way less than his projected #24.

My nepotistic dream is that we are desirable to play for and rather than overpaying actually get slight discounts on the expected draft positions for Thome mlb 34 and Contreras mlb 64 and can draft them at 77 and 105. Hell give their dads raises lol. Dirty Sox very nice write up to get things started!

Upcoming Roster Crunch
Gonzalez and Eisert trade open two roster spots now. Woods is a potential offseason add. The immediate roster spots are valuable and allow for some of the nonroster guys like Iriarte or Pallette to come up without having to dfa someone. Also if Adams were to be activated, coming off the 60 day IL would require someone to go off.
