Yep. Teel made first rehab appearance as a catcher. Teel was removed during game. Hopefully that was just part of the plan and not an issue.

Even if he is a bench/platoon player, a GG capable centerfielder for late inning defense on a team that may have Antonacci (also .598 OPS vs LHP) and Bonemer in the outfield isn't the worst thing to have available.

Just took a look and here are the last 14 day batting avg and ops of some hitters: Ant. .208/.604 Mune .140/.643 C Mont .177/.497 B Mont. .229/.694 Meidroth .216/.606 Call it a team slump or guys pressing but it isn't just one player. Maybe the old, guys trying to hit 6 run homers.

Currently the last wild card, Cleveland is .500. 31 games to go. We would have to go worse than 13-18 to finish below .500. I think we are running on fumes but will make it. We need a couple bats to get hot and some pitchers to give us some innings. I think we make it.
