  1. Wow. I really didn't expect us to get out of that. 46 pitches through two for Jose.
  2. 45 pitches now for Jose.
  3. We're going to see DJ Carrasco by the 4th inning. Chris Getz is just awesome.
  4. Wow, what an awful call.
  5. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 07:38 PM) How long has Joe Crede been a member of the whitesox, and we decide to groove him a fastball. Now sliders away, no breaking pitches, not even a forkball, a fastball. Unbelievable. We're the only team in baseball that throws fastballs to Carlos Gomez, this was hardly surprising.
  6. Ha. That's so fitting. The guy has looked completely clueless at the plate this year and he f***ing drives one against Jose.
  7. Brian Anderson is f***ing hillarious.
  8. He can't hit worth a damn but Carlos has reached base 6 times in 13 plate appearances.
  9. Dickey has gone full to all 3 batters he's faced. He's up to 19 pitches.
  10. Carlos' longest home run drought last season was 9 games, he also had 2 eight game droughts.
  11. Getz and Fields have already seen 12 pitches combined.
  12. Wow. You don't often see the Twins do s*** like that against us.
  13. QUOTE (scenario @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 07:17 PM) Works out perfectly with Crede leading off the next inning. That way they can take their time with the tribute and fan applause without making Contreras sit too long between hitters. They're not actually going to show a video tribute when he comes to the plate are they? I just assumed they'd get that s*** out of the way before the game.
  14. 23 first inning pitches for Jose. (only 11 for strikes)
  15. Jason Kubel is a career .310/.338/.707/1.045 hitter at the Cell w/ 7 HR in 19 games. I guess that's a little higher now.
  16. Terrific 2-2 pitch by Contreras right there.
  17. Gotta throw strikes Jose.
  18. Jose is working very quickly.
  19. Chris Getz is just awesome.
  20. That play at the plate wasn't even close, Hill ended up tagging him on the ass after the bad throw from Theriot. Weeks beat it by a good half to full second.
  21. New lineup for tonight's game: Getz 2B Fields 3B Quentin LF Thome DH Dye RF Konerko 1B Pierzynski C Ramirez SS Wise CF Contreras P Looks like he's trying to the get the [relatively] hot hand of Fields more chances at the top. OBP wise this is probably our best bet. Good to see the CF in the 9 hole, good spot for him.
  22. White Sox relievers through the first 2 games: 6IP 1H 0R 0BB 9K
  23. There's video of the scene of the crash from TMZ.
  24. Getz 2B Pierzynski C Quentin LF Thome DH Dye RF Konerko 1B Ramirez SS Wise CF Fields 3B
  25. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 9, 2009 -> 10:44 AM) TMZ.com reports that 22-year-old Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a car accident hours after his start Wednesday night against the A's. A local news station, NBC25, has confirmed the report. According to TMZ: "Cops say someone driving a minivan blew through a red light, causing the Mitsubishi that Adenhart was riding in to hit a light pole. Three people were killed in the crash, including Nick." The van driver reportedly fled the scene before eventually being apprehended, and has been charged with felony hit-and-run. The identities of the other victims have not been revealed, but TMZ reports that "one of the other men killed in the crash was also affiliated with the Angels organization."
