No bunting? No playing for 1 run when you're down by 5? I'm surprised. -

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 01:20 PM) I wouldn't trust that. The questec type tool MLB is using has everything at 94-95. Not that I'd trust that either, but you can't trust comcast's gun. The ball looks slow and he hasn't gotten a single fastball past a hitter, I really don't think he's throwing 95. -

I don't like this new and improved low 90's Count. I guess you start losing velocity on your fastball sometime around your 50th birthday. NICE PITCH JOSE! -

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 01:15 PM) Ozzie looks like a fool now that he started Jose. Not really, it was probably the right move, Jose is just s***ting the bed. I'm not going to blame Guillen for that. -

This is just brutal. Slow and right down the heart of the plate. Contreras has nothing right now. -

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 01:09 PM) this is a great start.......... when you say SOB, do you mean personality? I mean he needs to get the f*** out of the AL Central because it's going to get real old real quick watching this guy destroy White Sox pitching. -

Grady Sizemore is the best non 1B/DH in baseball, he's also a son of a b****. Oh and Jose Contreras sucks and needs to be traded immediately. -

Is there a reason why I'm watching Bill Melton spew bulls*** when I could be watching the player introductions? What the hell are these assclowns at Comcast thinking? -

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 12:40 PM) The CC crap shouldn't last long. The commericals also piss me off bigtime. If that lasts past the 5 days I'll be calling. And they usually use the home announcers. It was odd because I was really enjoying listening to Harry Kallas for the first inning but when they came back from break in the top of the 2nd it was the Braves broadcast. This thing is acting pretty funky. I think I'm going to kill someone. -

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 12:33 PM) Yah. It asks for it the first day or so. But I shoulda warned you that they usually have a problem or two on opening day. Each year they get more and more subscribers and it screws with them a little bit during the first couple days. You should be good after that though. Thats why I'm staying away from Mosaic for the first day or two. Just watchign the 700k feeds. I downloaded Mosaic last night, I've tried to watch it but all it's doing is buffering and even after connecting it's not giving me a picture only the wavy blue MLB.tv screen, no sound either. I guess I won't be going back to that until later in the week. The other thing that's really pissing me off is these 15 second commercials that i have to watch after switching games, I know it's probably only for the introductory period bulls*** that they're running right now but I really shouldn't have to enter all my credit card information then watch the same god damn Right Guard commercial every time I want to watch a different game, I did pay $120 afterall. Ugh, I'm easily annoyed as is but this is the sort of s*** that really gets to me. Also, is it just me or did the Braves/Phillies broadcast switch from Harry Kallas at the beginning of the game then to Chip Carey in the 2nd inning? -

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 12:10 PM) So hows work? Sitting at home watching all these games sucks... Detroit off to a good start. Losing to the Jays 1-0 with man on 2nd, nobody out. Now down 2-0. nobody out. I'm already annoyed by MLB.tv, the f***ing thing keeps asking for my credit card information to verify my location. I assume it doesn't like my laptop or some s*** but every time I switch games it brings up a form asking for all my info and it's getting real f***ing annoying. Have you had any problems like this? -
All Contract Talks Done Till After Season

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 10:57 AM) They'll still have the 15 days after the season is over. Plus I would imagine there will still be some talking if the sides really want to do it. This is more for the players and the media, so if the media asks any questions everybody can just say, there are no contracts, remember what we said at the beginning of the season. [edit] I THINK [/edit]This is more of a media move than anything else You don't know. What if one of them falls apart during the season and totally sucks beyond comprehension. They would then get a lot less money in the offseason and you wouldn't necessarily be stuck with them if it did. I'm not saying that will happen to any of these guys, but that's a financial benefit Kenny has already stated that he wants his prospective free agents to test the open market, I don't hold much faith in the 15 day exclusive negotiating rights window being used. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) So, what exactly is the benefit for the team of tabling these negotiations until the end of the season? Esp. with Iguchi? I really have a ton of difficulty buying that "They're distracted by the negotiations" is actually a decent excuse for anything. This way if he does end up signing any of them it will be for more than they would have gotten with an in season contract extension, that's what tends to happen when you're bidding against other teams for the services of your former players. There's a reason why you get the exclusive negotiating window, I just wish KW would take advantage of it. -

In honor of Opening Day and the signings of yesterday I updated and improved the look of my Player Salary Sheet.

The MLB.tv 700k stream is as good as advertised, there's a noticable difference for sure. Mosaic will be available for download tomorrow, so awesome.

They're showing clips from today's workout on the Final Word and the Cell looks amazing, the grass was the same design as last year as of when the video was shot but the green seats look so great. It's just a shame we won't be able to see them tomorrow.
