  1. QUOTE(3RDBASE @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:04 AM) What happened to Borch? Where did he end up? Sorry memory lapse. He got claimed off waivers by the Cubs, he's pretty much just a bench warmer, in fact he wasn't even on the active list for the Sox series, which is why you didn't see him at all.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 23, 2006 -> 12:05 AM) It's purposely corny...the remote guy made me chuckle the first time... What about the 500th time?

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) I'd rather see that than those Red Roof Inn commercials. Actually, I've already throat punched the multi-tasking guy so all is good.

Yeah seeing that same damn "you poke it, you own it" commercial over and over againg during Sox games isn't annoying at all. If I see that f***ing commercial again I will throat punch Burt Reynolds.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:25 PM) Awesome...will get that up right now. Done and Done...thanks so much Kalapse. You are very welcome.
  6. great news hopefully his slider is able to fool righties as well as it has in the past. Welcome mister ROOGY.
  7. BUNT!?!?! WTF KIND OF CALL IS THAT!?!?!
  8. Podsednik would be one hell of a defensive replacement.
  9. About 96-99% cheers. Sox fans came up big today. Cudos to them.
  10. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) um, no. He got a standing ovation after the HR, you obviously were not watching. I honestly do not care that he went deep twice tonight, I didn't expect to win this game so watching him hit 2 HRs was enjoyable for me.
  11. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 22, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) And the funny thing is that the truth is probably the exact opposite. The reason Frank went off on the Sox is probably because he never wanted to leave in the first place. That is exactly right. It's just so ironic that people hate him because he didn't want to leave when so many players get the "asshole" title for leaving a team.
  12. QUOTE(watchtower41 @ May 22, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) I don't think the people that are voting in the poll, or on a white sox messageboard for that matter are going to be the ones that will be booing. He regrets his time with us, so why should we be thankful for that time I love how people just make s*** up like this, he never said anything even remotely close to that. Just because he doesn't get along with the GM and has said a few dumb things does not mean he hates the fans or regrets that he ever even played for the Sox.
  13. Today should be a very interesting game for several reasons. I'm very interested to see how Frank is received, if the poll I set up is any indication, he should get a nice ovation.
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) Gathright does have his issues, but he certainly could catch up to balls in CF. Yes, he'll get bad reads but his track star speed would allow him to get to the balls that he missplays then after he catches the ball in short right center field he can roll the ball into homeplate while runners go wild running the bases on him. At the plate he has zero power and isn't even a very good contact hitter, has no grasp of the strike zone and has poor technique when attempting to steal bases. Yeah but he is pretty fast.
  15. QUOTE(knightni @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) I agree. I'd love the Sox to work out a trade for Joey Gathright from the D'Rays. Raines can work on his stealing with him. Mack isn't cutting it in CF. If you don't like Mack in CF then you definately should not be mentioning Gathright, the guys does absolutely nothing well except run. His arm strength is equal to that of Pierre. It would be a waste of the prospects it would take to get him.
  16. It's really too early to tell, anything number of things could happen over the course of the season that would make someone a clear cut candidate to head out.
  17. Do they have cable television in Idaho?
  18. QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 22, 2006 -> 10:03 AM) Trade him while you can. That makes sense because so many teams will be clammering over an injury prone and currently injured pitcher who's currently making $11M and he happens to have a full NO-trade clause.
  19. QUOTE(KansasSoxFan @ May 22, 2006 -> 10:18 AM) Out of curiosity, why didn't Uribe get charged with an error on what should have been the DP ball? It looked to me like he threw the ball away. You can't assume a double play, an error is never granted if one is commited while turning the second half of a DP>
  20. I heard he gives poisoned milk to school children.
  21. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 22, 2006 -> 12:59 AM) Where did you find this shirt? It's one of those cheap knockoffs that you can buy on 35th street for $10 that last like 4 washes.
  22. For shame, first he rips Kenny Williams and the entire White Sox organization and now he's going after Rumsfeld, when will he learn to keep his damn mouth shut?
  23. I'm wondering why Bruce Levine would report such a thing then. And why here, WSI and NSBB would run with it like this. Even if this is bulls*** I still expect the suspensions to be very similar to these.
