  1. QUOTE(beautox @ May 24, 2006 -> 05:33 PM) I was under the Impression Mackowiak was brought here to back up Crede at 3B primarily, and so far this season i don't think he has done that once. He's played the infield once this year, an inning at 3B. That is all.
  2. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 25, 2006 -> 12:48 AM) It was when we were up by 2 That's when it started but it carried over all the way 'til Bobby got into the game. I was one of the first people to jump up and start cheering for Bobby simply to try and kill the wave.
  3. You guys have no f***ing clue how pissed I was today. It's the top of the 8th f***ing inning, the dream Politte is comming into the game and bam there's a s*** load of noise comming from the upper deck, look up and what do you know the f***ing wave has broken out. A guy gets on, Nelson comes in and bam the wave hits the lower bowl all along I'm threatening to kill anyone and everyone in the middle of section 157 who stands up, luckily once Bobby got into the game the damn things stopped. Doing the stupid ass wave in the 8th inning in a 1 run game just shows that the crowd isn't entirely into the game, no they're more worried about when they have to jump up and make an ass out of themselves. I was embarrassed beyond belief. Anyone who did the wave today should be ashamed of themselves.
  4. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ May 25, 2006 -> 12:08 AM) does it smell of Jon's BO? The funny thing about Garland is that he does not sweat, when he gets warm his body secretes liquid sexiness. I may not have won a jersey today but I did get 20% off US Cellular services.

    QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 23, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) The Red Roof Inn commercial is by far the greatest commercial of all-time. You would appreciate something like that. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ May 24, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) Hey! How did you get ahead of me in doing so? I thought that I had dibs on that! Oh well, maybe I'll have to be creative and buy a pair of the old pointed "Beatles Boots" and give that guy a nice swift shot in the crotch. Let's see him repeat that stupid laugh after that! Man...........that guy is irritating. I've never seen my thoughts on anything articulated in such a perfect way. Kudos to you sir.
  6. The hate for A-Rod especially comming out of New York is unbelievable. It seems a great deal of fans hate him for whatever reason, the guy has been the best player in the game since he came into the league so it might just be jealousy. I guess if a player is young, making a s*** load of money and good looking they're bound to be hated.
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 24, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) 2006 -- 4.74 5.12 2005 -- 4.35 4.73 2004 -- 4.64 5.04 2003 -- 4.52 4.92 2002 -- 4.46 4.85 2001 -- 4.47 4.90 So Buehrle is above the average, I really don't know what to entirely make of it but it's really not surprising for whatever reason.
  8. QUOTE(DePloderer @ May 24, 2006 -> 03:12 PM) You ever mix me up with a damn Aussie again and I'll slap you silly with a wet fish. No offence DBAHO! That sounded pretty damn offensive to me.
  9. Well, I havn't exactly delved into it but I did compare it to someone with a very similar career ERA, in Roy Halladay. His "run average" is 4.09 compared to his ERA of 3.65 so a .44 difference. I'll try to find the league averages though because that would be the best way to compare.
  10. Did anyone just hear George Offman completely take something Frank Thomas said out of context? He took one very small soundbite from his interview with Boers and Berstein yesterday where he explained exactly why he was upset at the end of last year, a statement that he only made because he was asked directly by B&B. I heard that entire interview yesterday and found absolutely nothing wrong with anything he said, yet that son of a b**** Offman does it again, taking Frank out of context and once again trys to make him look like a tool. Offman ends the segment with, "let if go Frank, let if go." George Offman is the most unproffesional SOB in this city, how many times is he going to do this before he's dealt with? It's odd how the media really is out to get Frank.
  11. One interesting thing about Buehrle, his career "run average" is 4.11 compared to his "earned run average" of 3.60. A .51 difference.
  12. QUOTE(rudylaw @ May 24, 2006 -> 08:41 AM) I remember at the start of the 2000 season, Pauly was at third and Greg Norton was playing first. This is true, he played 7 games and 58 Innings over there, he also avoided picking up a single error over that 7 game span.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 24, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) Konerko can play center. He was drafted by the Dodgers as a catcher and I'm sure AJ has played a little shortstop some time in his life.
  14. f*** that, tomorrow will only be my 2nd game of the year I wanna see Jim Thome damnit. Suck it up James.
  15. I will be there, surprisingly only my second game of the year.
  16. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ May 23, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) Your reply can be taken 4 different ways. 1) it was meant to be sarcastic in a nice humerous way, 2) It was meant to be posted in green lettering, 3) You are a female and really did buy one, 4) You are not a female and I'm here to let you know that I'm not the "Brokeback Mountain" type. I do believe 4 is the most realistic choice.
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Should this even count as an ab with a risp for Johnson? I think you're underestimating the quicks of one Franklin Thomas JR.
  18. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) It's BAA, OBA, and OPSA. Maybe you could use a real stat like WHIP, ERA+, OPSA+ or SO? OBA and OPSA are just going to start repeating the same s***.
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:26 PM) I updated it just for you! What exactly are the last 2 numbers?
  20. Saarloos will settle down after this inning and pitch 6 perfect innings.
  21. This game is going to get out of hand in a hurry.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) You know he's much better at stealing 3rd than he is 2nd base. However, Kendall is the type of catcher that Pods feasts on. One of the worst arms in the league
  23. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) Scotty should stop stealing. It isn't working. You act like he's been stealing bases successfully all season, which is not true. Also, ditch the f***ing sig.
