QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:27 PM) What did Dye do? Grounded out hard to 3rd.
-
Mack grounds out to Guillen inning over.

Crede Walks.

Joe needs for his dazzling defense to translate into his offensive game. He came up big yesterday, he needs to keep that going.
-
Craig Monroe with a very nice play in LF, saving a run for the Tigers.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) Was it the Again. one? White Sox/Royals, black and white commercial with footage of Vazquez and Thome working out during spring training. So cool. Pauly with a leadoff double off the wall.
-
Unbelievably awesome Sox commercial on CSN.

JOE CREDE IS THE GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:14 PM) Freddy off to a good start with the first 2 batters. No radar gun on CSN.

Freddy off to a good start with the first 2 batters.

Wow, Bonderman looking good. Our top 3 hitters looking real bad.
-
11 pitches to 2 batters for Bonderman.
-
Pods is working the count atleast, even if he can't make contact. Didn't do him much good.

QUOTE(chisoxdavid @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) Which ones are the red chewey ones? I am a sucker for Nike things. So damn tasty.

QUOTE(juddling @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) I like the "remember when"as much as the next guy but in the newer episodes that are WAY to frequent and it seems like the funnier they are the shorter they are. They have had a lot of them lately that go on and on and have little humor and i think that THAT is what the South Park Boys are trying to point out in their own 'special' way Wow, my thoughts exactly, I've found myself fast forwarding through some of them in the newer episodes simply because they are excrutiatingly long and have minimal humor. I absolutely love them but they're too frequent and some just drag on.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 09:54 PM) Did Gage spell check the second one? Haha, I guess that shows how much work I put into it, I didn't even notice it was misspelled. If you want to use your fancy Admin powers, you can replace that one with one that won't make me look like a complete idiot. http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/2127/finished5ha.jpg

Family Guy uses way more flashback type segments in the new episodes than they ever did in the old episodes, it's incredibly annoying, the plot barely moves.

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) Scotty needs to sit some game or be moved down because hes jus not producing, perhaps his injury is worse than thought. There's no point in moving Podsednik out of the leadoff spot just to put him lower in the order, if you're going to do that you might as well just put him on the DL or send him down to Charlotte for a while. Podsednik is useless anywhere but the leadoff spot (and he's even useless there at times).

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:37 PM) BTW, did anybody see Jenks' velocity today? I didn't get a good look at the gun. Is he still at 92-93. I gotta be honest. I don't think he's gonna get to 98-99 at all. Fastball was consistantly in the high 90's topping out at 99 a few times, slider in the low 90's, curve around 85 but is still having problems throwing it for a strike. Also Hawk said Bobby was throwing 100+ in the pen the past few days.

horray only 3 games back

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 01:34 AM) Flash, you're a really good poster, and I respect most of your opinions -- but do you absolutely have to trash our minor league organization every 5 seconds? Sure, it would be nice to have one or more of those flamethrowing guys everybody drools over. But, considering we draft 15th or lower EVERY year, what do you expect? You're not gonna find guys like Liriano and Verlander where we usually pick. It's just not gonna happen. - All pitchers out of the top 50 or so prospects in baseball: - Francisco Liriano - Twins - FA - Justin Verlander - Tigers - 2nd overall - Matt Cain - Giants - 25th overall - Chad Billingsley - Dodgers - 24th overall - Jon Lester - Red Sox - 57th overall - Jon Papelbon - Red Sox - 114th overall - Joel Zumaya - Tigers - 320th overall - Philip Hughes - Yankees - 23th overall - John Danks - Rangers - 9th overall - Homer Bailey - Blue Jays - 7th overall - Anthony Reyes - Cardinals - 455th overall - Scott Elbert - Dodgers - 17th overall - Adam Miller - Indians - 31st overall - Jeremy Sowers - Indians - 6th overall - Adam Loewen - Orioles - 4th overall - Mark Rogers - Brewers - 5th overall - Anibal Sanchez - Marlins - FA - Craig Hansen - Red Sox - 26th overall - Thomas Diamond - Rangers - 10th overall - Mike Pelfrey - Dodgers - 9th overall - Fausto Carmona - Indians - FA |RED = Drafted 16th overall or later| 13/21 were drafted after the 15th pick in the draft or were FAs. Is it possible that maybe the problem isn't our draft position but instead our college/latin country scouting and minor league pitcher developement?

QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) too bad Travis Hafner didnt get traded from Cleveland like Coco Crisp I dont know the number against the Twins lifetime, but I bet they are really good Vs Twins: 169 AB, 11 HR, 29 RBI, .261/.333/.493/.830 Vs Sox: 189 AB, 9 HR, 34 RBI, .270/.361/.497/.858 Vs Tigers: 131 AB, 9 HR, 19 RBI, .298/.419/.573/.991 Vs Royals: 133 AB, 8 HR, 23 RBI, .308/.415/.609/.1024 The guy just wrecks AL Central pitching, he is a menace and must be stopped.

Gagne to miss 6-8 weeks after surgery. Lowry to the DL after straining muscle in his last start.
