  1. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 05:09 PM) Mike Sweeney got nailed in the hand, could be injured. Did Ramirez get hurt for the scrubs?? Don't know about Ramirez but Jaque Jones has his first injury of the new season, strained his Hamstring today, he's day to day. Just one step closer to going down for the season.
  2. QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 04:35 PM) Getting AJ was like Rodman going to the Bulls.... hated him and then LOVE everything about him. Hunter coming here would be like Starks coming to the Bulls, hated him and continue to HATE him. I still have yet to forgive and forget the whole incident with the Josh Paul plowing and saying the Cell didnt deserve to hold an All-Star game. Classless clowndick. You refuse to forget yet you can't remember properly, it was not Josh paul it was Jaime Burke.
  3. 1. White Sox - 2. Bears - - - 3. Illini Basketball - - - 4. Millwaukee Brewers - 5. NIU Football 6. Bulls
  4. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) I probably shouldn't have opened my mouth so soon. Yanks making a comeback in the 8th. And have now won it 9-7 after trailing 7-4. Jeter gave them the lead in the 8th with a 3-run homer.
  5. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 01:50 PM) I don't think they will, it will be a tease and then then they'll show Muhammad Ali or something. The more important question: Will Cartman make it all the way to Hollywood on his Big Wheel? Yes, he will, the bigger question however is what is the big secret with the Family Guy writers?
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) I would not. Howard will put up 30, 35 HR's, and Adkins was just named NL player of the week. Hafner is also just avaiable at the one position. I wouldnt do it. ^^^ Hafner cripples your lineup by only being available at UTIL, Howard should put up similar power numbers to Hafner but with a significantly lower batting average. Adkins will turn out to be very valuable by the end of the season, you're better off keeping the two.
  7. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:27 AM) all around? Yes, only if personality and class were key factors. But, I would have to take Arod over him like kalapse. I would take Pujols over DLee 10 out of 10 times also. Dlee may have an edge on D, but, Pujols is way more proven and consistent. If it comes down to a choice between Pujols and Derek Lee, it's not even close they're both great guys so that isn't really a factor and Pujols' defense at first base is good enough that it wouldn't really sway me either way and IMO Pujols is the best hitter in baseball so it's pretty much a blow out. The only real thing you're getting with Lee is an increase in speed from Albert and I don't find that to be incredibly important for my 1B.
  8. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:18 AM) I'm no Cubs fan, but I honestly think D-Lee is probably the best all-around player right now. And a class act. Better all-around than A-Rod, who plays a much thougher position and has been infinitely more consistant over the course of his career? Derek Lee is a damn good player but he's not the best all-around especially seeing how he's only done it for one season. Bobby Abreu is a better example of a 5-tool player if you're looking for one.
  9. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 10:53 AM) You can see the glove at the bottom of the sig on the left hand. You can also see how he's following through with his right arm and his right foot in the air over his right shoulder, it would be pretty tough to get your left foot into the air in that
  10. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 10:19 AM) lol, I see you all met my sister. I will vouch on her being an awesome fan. She may have forgot about the off day today. But, I do know she has been there on the cold days in 2001 against teams like the Tigers and Royals. She wins every argument she gets into with cub fans (which isn't hard at all, but proves your knowledge of the sox when you can name 5 sox players for every cub player they name. Oh, and kalapse, maybe you should get your keyboard fixed I miss your ALL CAPS posts. I knew there was something familiar about her, she's got some of the same posting habits as her brother.
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) I think it has ran it's course...time for it to be retired. Yeah, my Poli Sci lecture is just about over and my laptop battery is down to about 10% and without me this thread will die fast.
  12. QUOTE(White Sox Fan For Life @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:43 AM) Pink! What are you talking about Pink! The text is not Purple! It's hard to tell on my laptop, the lights here in the lecture hall are incredibly bright and mess with the display.
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:38 AM) So if I put glittery pink text in my sig will you look at me differently? Yes, but for different reasons.
  14. QUOTE(White Sox Fan For Life @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:38 AM) What joke? I told you I am stupid! Don't listen to him, he's just trying to stir the pot.
  15. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:35 AM) WSFFL, please, understand this joke and stop dragging it on. Hush.
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:35 AM) Well thanks for ending this thread, you should know that all the dudes on this site are afraid of talking to girls so now that we all know you're a female... *Crickets* I gotta say the glittery pink text in the sig just didn't give it away.
  17. QUOTE(White Sox Fan For Life @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:27 AM) Why don't you use the SHIFT key since it what comes close to the CAPS LOCK key on the KEYBOARD! I respect myself too much to be holding down a shift key for an entire sentence.
  18. QUOTE(White Sox Fan For Life @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:23 AM) Well if you give someone say that writing in all caps is the best way to go, but if you are not writing in caps wouldn't you sound like a hypocrite? My caps lock key is broken.
  19. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:20 AM) He's not the one on trial here! ^^^ This isn't about me.
  20. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:14 AM) lol, pot stirring never
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:13 AM) We're just busting on ya... Your posts are fine. You may be "busting on him", I however and giving out sound advice.
  22. QUOTE(White Sox Fan For Life @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:09 AM) When you read my posts how does it sound to you? Weak and unenthused it's almost as if you're whispering. I think all caps would solve that problem but hey that's just my opinion.
  23. QUOTE(White Sox Fan For Life @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 08:40 AM) Well I am a die hard sox fan! I wish that I didn't have to work! But I can't fix that can I! Especially since we all need to work to make a living some way or another! What the hell is so wrong with my friends giving me updates about the game? Hey last year I felt so bad because I really didn't pay attention to my White Sox that much because of my busy life and I felt really bad! I made a vow to myself that I will always try to keep up with the White Sox organization no matter where I am! I don't know why you are giving me such a hard time, at least I am trying to be updated! You should try posting in all caps and adding more exclamation points, you lack enthusiasm in your posts.
  24. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) I must say, its really *really* rare that I agree with your posts, but I find them absolutely hilarious. Really, you find idiocy humorous as well?
  25. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) They did a "Cleveland" style deal with him...big deal, up-front money, in exchange for dropping arbitration and giving the Cards an additional three years before he hit FA if I got the details right. He played his first 3 seasons for the league minimum if I understand the facts right. 7 years, $100 million. And worth every damn penny. Plus they convinced him to take deffered money, $3M of his '07-'10 salary is deffered to 2020-2029 - $1.2M per with NO interest.
