  1. I was happy when Derek Lee hit that homerun I just knew that it would hurt that much more when Latroy Hawkins blows the game in the 9th.
  2. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 6, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) Hear who entered the draft today though? No more Deron, No more Luther, No more Dee! I'd be afraid of the hick state to your north!! Dee isn't even going to the NBA yet. He'll be drafted in the 2nd round and go back to Illinois.
  3. Ozzie Guillen and his family: The little story that goes along with it (it's for Mother's Day):
  4. QUOTE(Pale Hose Jon @ May 4, 2005 -> 11:51 PM) You forgot the Durhams Ray and Chad. Chad is f***ing fast.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) So far, I would vote for AJ, with zero second thoughts. He has made this pitching staff instantly better. Ditto. AJ is the most valuable pickup for sure, he's great at handeling the pitching staff, blocks everything in the dirt, gives good offensive production from th catchers position and I believe is great presence in the club house. Not to mention the fact that he's becomming a fan favorite, at least in my heart.
  6. BMAC's line: IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA 8.0 5 0 0 1 10 0 3.35 He pitched one helluva game. Knights win 1-0 WP: Mcarthy (3-2) S: Smith (1)
  7. QUOTE(JimH @ May 5, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) No, it was more Graffanino's choice. In addition to the money and the playing time opportunity, it came out he was looking for a clubhouse more in line with his own Christian beliefs. Tony's choice vs. being run out of the clubhouse. I guess I didn't really read exactly what he posted. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
  8. QUOTE(upnorthsox @ May 5, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) I'd just be paraphrasing at this point but the jist was that the Sox clubhouse didn't square with his or his family's christian beliefs. That doesn't sound right. I don't see players pushing another player away because of his religous beliefs. Carl Everett would have been gone a long time ago.
  9. QUOTE(Cy Garland @ May 5, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) How about this pipe dream We play continue to play .750 ball the rest of the year (which is our % now) : 134 x .75 = 100.5, lets just round it down to 100 100+21 =121 162-121 = 41 121-41 **Puts down pipe** Recent teams with 110+ wins off the top of my head: 2001 Seattle Mariners: 116-46 (.716) 1998 New York Yankees: 114-48 (.704) I can't think of any others.
  10. We were down the other night to K.C. and I just had that feeling we were gonna win. We were losing late today and I was certain that we would pull it out. I have complete confidence in this team to find a way to win games.
  11. I think a lot of this Tony G. talk was from Spring Training and the offseason when the Sox were looking for a utility man. I don't think Kenny is really interested now.
  12. I think real names would be the only way to go. It would be kinda silly putting our screen names on a letter. Plus with real names you get a little more of a personal feel.
  13. I love Tony G. but I'm not sure I'd want him back. He's had knee injuries ever since he left the Sox and we do have Pablo Ozuna right now. Not to mention the fact that Tony wants to play everyday which could not be gaurenteed by the Sox.
  14. Sounds like a great idea. Brooks has been awesome ever since he got the job. He deserves a little dap.
  15. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 5, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) All I want is a series win.....sweep would be nice....not getting swept is a must. If we go 0.500 rest of the way we will be in the playoffs so that is all I care about 28 games played thus far. We have won 21 of them. There are 162 games in a baseball season. 162-28 = 134 134/2 = 67 21+67 = 88 If we play .500 baseball for the rest of the season we will win 88 games. I really don't think that wins the division. We're gonna need 90+ to beat out the Twins for the Central Division Title.
  16. Woody Williams is on the 15 day DL with a strained right oblique, isn't there anyone else available in free agency better than williams and benson. Like say Erik Bedard or John Thompson?
  17. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ May 5, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) I just don't like Dye, and don't think he belongs anywhere higher than 6th in the order. What about moving Konerko down? You don't move your team leader and streaky hitter which means he can get ultra hot for 1 or 2 games and sometimes weeks and months. Just ride him out in the 4 hole.
  18. I watch it every Sunday Morning. Great show.
  19. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ May 4, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) excuse my ignorance but what does PWN3D mean? OWNED
  20. Hell f***en Yeah. To bad the Bulls had to lose.
  21. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 4, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) Joe Morgan should die of ghonnerea and rot in hell Harsh words.
  22. With the Sox, Bulls and Cubs all on Comcast today. What channel are the Sox going to be on?
  23. I personally love this thread.
