QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) Webb just isn't very good unfortunately. Could be a change of scenery guy that gets him to throw his hardest and hope for the best Webb should not be counted on to be a factor in 2016. He just is not progressing.

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 08:35 PM) The pitch deep into games when they need to. Agree no Ace needed for this team right now.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 08:21 PM) 116 pitches in a blowout Just stupid IMO.
-
QUOTE (Mike F. @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 08:10 PM) In fairness though, Flowers and Soto together have put up more than respectable numbers both offensively and defensively. Soto has carried the water in that platoon.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) I'm laughing at us both right now because how you feel about Sanchez is how I feel about Johnson. With other positional holes that need to be filled, I think the Sox can be more patient with 2B. IMHO, 3B and RF are huge voids that must be addressed this off season. The Sox do have a lot of holes Catcher also is a huge hole to me.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:50 PM) Johnson was sent down due to his poor defense and also why he wasn't re called until September. I like Johnson's bat and his wheels but his defense is putrid and the guys has issues with staying healthy. Too bad the Sox cannot combine Sanchez's defense/health with Micah's bat/wheels. That would be a hell of a player. I do agree If we could combine them....................separately I do not see either guy being a long term answer.

Please get a catcher next year.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:32 PM) I'm only talking about Sanchez so I don't know who you mean when you say "people". I never said Sanchez is or is not the answer. Just willing to wait and see what he brings the rest of this season and in 2016. With so many holes to fill, Sanchez is hardly the biggest problem on this team. Young players take time to develop and if you look at Sanchez history in the minors, he has struggled each time he moved up, then adapted and hit well so I have no problem with giving him playing time to see if he can adapt to MLB pitching. Sanchez is still quite young. That is why Johnson should be playing everyday..........Sox know what Sanchez can't do. We disagree on Sanchez I say utility player, you say no.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:28 PM) According MLB, Sale has no earned runs. Is that right? Yes thanks to Sanchez error.
-
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:17 PM) So a 23 year old in his first full season is deemed a utility player, got it. Glad you aren't running the FO. Anyway. After the Sanchez error there was one out and a man on second. It's not Sanchez fault Sale gave up 6 runs after the error. Let's not forget that Sale has not been pitching well and it was not Sanchez that threw the meatball for a slam. If you think Sanchez is the answer at 2B, glad you are not running the front office. By the looks of it since 2008 the people you hold in such high standard have zero playoff appearances. They are great though

Team has so many holes to fill.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:10 PM) Ok, then let him keep getting work in. Not like he's taking someone's spot. He can play rest of year, but he better not be starting 2B in 2016.
-
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:07 PM) You cannot be serious. Sanchez commits his 5th error in 103 games and he has a long way to go? Yes he does he is utility player nothing more.

Sanchez opened the flood gates.

QUOTE (Mike F. @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:03 PM) I hate this team so f***ing much. Bunch of guys that have no business being on a MLB team.
-
Sanchez has a long way to go to be a everyday 2nd baseman.

Another sub .500 home stand and people wonder why place is a ghost town.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 03:44 PM) Because tomorrow night the A's have to play in Houston and a direct flight is just under 3 hours, so if teams play until 10 pm they don't get into the hotel until 3 a.m., and occasionally games do go into extra innings where they'd get in at 4-6 a.m. It costs teams money so not every team is nice enough to schedule the day game on a travel day, but it really is professional courtesy. If you want other teams to treat your guys well so that they're not getting into the hotel at 4:00 am before their next game, then you sacrifice some ticket sales to treat their guys well. If we were in a playoff race, we'd be flying to Cleveland, losing an hour for the time zone shift after tonight's game, so we'd be getting in at 1-2 a.m. and we'd be unhappy if our guys came out sluggish. Baltimore refuses to give teams afternoon getaway games at home, but complain to the league office when they are on the road and teams do not do it for them.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 03:44 PM) For some reason this game has felt like a loss all the way through. Now it is a loss. When it was 2-1 I had to remind myself Sox were winning. This Sox team blows. Prospects of next year just as dismal. If Ventura, KW and Hahn return it will be just as bad.

Wow this is so White Sox ..........................Q screwed again..........Robertson not worth half what he is getting paid.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 03:35 PM) I mean, who can go to these games? Exactly makes me laugh longest home stand of the year in September next year.

QUOTE (bjm676 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 03:20 PM) Sad tweet of the day: @SpaldingBalls 5h5 hours ago Wisconsin, USA if current standings hold, the only teams without playoff appearances, 2009-2015: Mariners Marlins Padres White Sox Yet KW stays employed

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 02:55 PM) It pisses me off, that's for sure. Sick of bad defensive players. Would rather see how Sanchez could hold up at short and Saladino at 3b. They're potentially part of this future, Olt isnt. Team going nowhere, I have no problem playing guys to see what they got. We know what Sanchez can do at this point.
