Royals designated LHP Bruce Chen for assignment.
Chen gets the boot after being pummeled for six runs in an extra-innings loss to the Twins on Thursday. The left-hander had been used sparingly since returning from the DL, so the move isn't terribly surprising. He'll pass through waivers easily given his $3.25 million salary.

I agree and the Cubs will not be able to sign all these guys when they become free agents at the same time. Cubs will be lucky If 2 of these prospects work out.
