  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 09:00 PM) Absolutely. I love it
  2. Orioles acquired OF Alejandro De Aza from the White Sox for RHPs Miguel Chalas and Mark Blackmar. De Aza has good speed and can play all three outfield positions, making him a nice addition to the Baltimore bench for the stretch run. The 30-year-old was batting .243/.309/.354 with 15 stolen bases in 122 games this season for the White Sox. He'll be arbitration-eligible for the third and final time this winter. Chalas and Blackmar are non-prospects. Source: Eduardo A. Encina on Twitter
  3. I am very happy tonight. De Aza leaving is addition by subtraction for 2015.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) Amazing they couldn't score off of this pitcher in 6 innings. Thought the same thing.
  5. Baltimore opened up 2 spots on 40 man today.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) Conor started out pretty decently defensively last year, but was awful the last couple of months. This year, a similar pattern seems to be occurring. He has been awful on the defensive side since the Dodger series. He is not a everyday 3rd basemen.
  7. Conor can you maybe stop 1 ball tonight?
  8. Need innings from Carroll at this point with a DH Saturday.
  9. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 08:49 PM) "Tyler Flowers is so good it's scary" - greg, like 2 weeks ago Only thing scary to me is If he the starter again next year.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) Stone still thinks he will spend September in the bullpen. I think that will be the case also.
  11. Every time Sox make a error it bites them in the ass.
  12. How can these people wear these masks this humid? Storm trooper outfit would be brutal tonight.
  13. QUOTE (peavy44 @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 08:16 PM) CHICAGO IL Not a country.
  14. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 07:53 PM) De Aza'd Just a stupid ass.
  15. The Mariners have shut down Jesus Montero for the remainder of the 2014 season as they want him to address his non-baseball issues. There was a verbal altercation on Thursday night between Montero and one of the team's scouts as Montero was on a minor league rehab assignment with Class-A Everett. Allegedly, the scout poked fun at Montero's lack of hustle and sent an ice cream sandwich into the dugout for him, and Montero attempted to take a bat into the crowd to confront the scout. While he's a supremely talented hitter, until he clears up the personal issues he simply won't make it at the big league level. Source: Bob Dutton on Twitter His stock has fallen badly.
