White Sox sign Zach Duke, 3 years, $15 million
White Sox signed LHP Zach Duke to a three-year, $15 million contract. Not bad for a guy who was a non-roster invitee to spring training this past season. Duke had a terrific year for the Brewers, posting a 2.45 ERA and 74/17 K/BB ratio over 58 2/3 innings. The White Sox are obviously betting that he can duplicate that success. He'll help set up in Chicago. Per Rotoworld Hope he does not regress.

Contract way high to me that's a lot for a LHR. 3 yr/9 mil would of been the max for Duke to me.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 16, 2014 -> 12:37 PM) I want a blowout. I've seen enough from this coaching staff to know they need to be gone as soon as possible for I'm rooting for losses to leave no doubt that this thing needs to be blown up. Place is going to be empty in December with all these home games.

Victor Martinez Re-signs with Tigers
QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 03:30 PM) Womp womp....As a guy who thinks he'll still be good for for a few more years I don't really find joy in the Tigers signing him. VM will be good thru the whole deal Sox lost out today.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 11:38 AM) IMO, what the Bears need to do is hire Bill Pollian as a consultant or interm President, and have him evaluate the football operation from Emery to Trestman to all the coaches. Have him clean house if the entire house needs to be cleaned and put the people in place to be successful. Ted Phillips, God love him, is an accountant. Let him handle the business side. The football side needs to be handled by a football person. Enough of the BS. That would be a great move.

WWE is in Liverpool taping SmackDown today and the early reports coming out on the show reveal it's not going well, at least in the sense that the crowd isn't playing along with what WWE is offering. It's bad. It's so bad, in fact, that Vince McMahon himself apparently snapped, came out on stage, and berated the fans with a heel promo designed to get them to start responding to the action in the ring. According to various reports, he mocked the crowd, the city, claimed every other crowd on the UK tour was better, and told everyone in the arena to "have some fun, damn it". This comes on the heels of Raw last night that featured a ton of WWE Network related chants that had to be edited out before airing the show on USA. There's no way this will make the SyFy broadcast this coming Friday, but it's interesting to note that WWE went to these lengths to get the crowd into a show they can edit for heat later. Per SBnation Vince officially jumped the shark tonight!
