QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 03:24 PM) that's a stunted tree Hell yes it is, but the Bears will put a bow on it and call him the new sheriff. Meet the new boss same as the old boss 101.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 03:10 PM) Albert Breer @AlbertBreer· Baltimore's Eric DeCosta drawing big NFL interest. Jets asking again, after a hard run in '13. Bears unlikely as long as Phillips is there. Yep no surprise they will hire Ballard who is from the Angelo/Emery tree and ex 12 year Bear employee, who will not rock the boat and Phillips survives again. Sucks to expect real change with the McCaskey's

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 08:31 AM) He's determined to go to FA again, or at least threatening to do so (UFC and Bellator would have interest), so WWE are kind of stuck with what to do with him right now. My point was when he was not on tv for 3 months after SS the appearance tonight could of been used earlier.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 05:35 PM) That is going to be the next test...how quickly and swiftly will we move. Thus far, while it would have been nice for a football czar, the reality is they did exactly what they absolutely needed to do, which was hire a football guy to help them find the next GM, who will clearly have full say over football matters (that much was obvious throughout the course of the press conference). People who want to blast Ted, really don't understand his role, imo, and just want to hate on a hater. The reality is, the owners view him as a the CEO and he's very removed from the football decisions. The key to me is getting the right GM and the owners are always going to have final say on that (no matter who the owner is). The thing is, now they have someone who has been very successful in the past at bringing in head coaches (and has assisted in hirings of GM's as well) and also understands deeply what it takes to be successful as a GM. The whole hiring a consultant thing started two weeks ago, which again, is much swifter than this franchise has ever moved in the past already. Everything I've seen so far is that this is going to be handled significantly different than past decisions (and that includes the fact that we acted quickly with the firing of our coach and GM). I disagree with you on Ted Phillips 100%..........................during press conference it was stated he is very much involved in the upcoming decisions as he was with Emery and Trestman. Below is what Hub Arkush had to say on Phillips. Congratulations to the McCaskey family for acknowledging its mistake and not insisting on wasting another season. Sticking with Emery and Trestman would have made the situation worse. The problem now is two-fold. First, it is critical that Ted Phillips, the principal architect of this mess, be kept completely out of the football side of the operation, specifically the hiring of the new GM and coach. Most importantly, the new general manager should not come from within the organization or have any ties to the Bears last 25-plus years of dysfunction. Rewarding their familiarity with Emery is what got the Bears into this mess in the first place. There is a ton of bright young talent out there ready and dying to take on the challenge of the Bears. Bears fans have to hope George McCaskey knows how to find it

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 04:50 PM) Wait...so Tucker is still employed with the Bears? I thought his firing would just be a given since he was brought in by Emery who is now fired. This organization cant help but be fun bad with everything they do. McCaskey's sure know football don't they?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that morale in WWE has gotten worse since the Vince McMahon interview on the live WWE Network edition of Steve Austin’s podcast. The problem among the talent is that they feel McMahon buried just about everyone outside of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt and the now-infamous “brass ring” comments hit home for a lot of midcard guys who were pushed in a very start-stop manner. Another notable point among the talent who were down on the interview were the burial of Cesaro, who at one point was believed to have top babyface potential before his heel turn. Morale got bad enough that Triple H did a speech to the whole roster in an attempt at damage control that backfire. It is said that the NXT guys love him, but that he lost credibility with the main roster guys who have been there for a long time.

WWE is currently sticking to a “No CM Punk” policy at live events, including the January 31 event in Canada and the December 26 event at Madison Square Garden. Security staff at both venues claim that WWE won’t let fans wear Punk merchandise or carry Punk signs. If they do, they’ll be asked to remove their signs, change their clothes or leave the venue. During last night’s RAW in Minnesota, at least five fans were kicked out for violating the policy. Guards could be seen taking several Punk signs. Credit: Wrestlezone I wish they spent as much time on making the product better, how petty.
