  1. Gavin Floyd left Thursday's start against the Nationals with a possible elbow injury. The Braves' trainer came out to check on Floyd after he threw his first pitch of the seventh inning. The righty was having his elbow looked at before walking off the field. Obviously, it's a bad sign given that Floyd was making his ninth start since returning from Tommy John surgery. He had spun six scoreless frames before exiting. We probably won't know much about his status until after the game. Per Rotoworld
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 05:49 PM) My team died when Jose Fernandez went on DL. Can't express how nice having 30 points automatically (sometimes 60) does to help win. I've been in the doldrums but took a flyer on Andrew Heaney weeks ago and Henderson Alvarez. I've been really pleased with Alvarez, and just hope like hell Heaney is bigtime. I picked up Heaney in 4 leagues ready to watch him in 10 minutes. He has been good in minors.
  3. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 02:29 PM) Beware, someone making their major league debut tonight. Hoping to increase the win streak and start off the road trip on a high note. Hope the Sox reverse that trend.
  4. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 11:22 AM) Verlander had surgery in the offseason maybe he is not fully healthy yet. I think Verlander will be fine he never got to workout all winter and next season he will be better. It is just one of those years.
  5. Sox 7-3 thru 7
  6. He did good to limit the damage.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 03:36 PM) Why couldn't they just pull him at 101 pitches after 6? It's not like he was dominating. I never understand RV.
  8. Alexi robbed nice grab.
  9. Sox 7-2 Dunn bomb..................1 more inning for Sale then turn it over to the pen.

  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) It was expected they would promote him right after the AA All-Star Game. I still wonder if they will appease the fans in September with a call-up or keep him down to prevent his service time from starting. I do not expect the Cubs to promote him this year.
