  1. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 31, 2007 -> 03:13 AM) Crede seems to be the popular pick. But I'm going with Jermaine Dye. Power to the other side of the park, and he has produced very well in clutch RBI situations before. The good thing is, there's a LOT of clutch hitters you could choose in the middle of our lineup. I echo this, Dye has a nice level line drive swing, and has gap to gap hitting style.
  2. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 31, 2007 -> 12:05 AM) The long and the short of it as follows: My computer has suffered the following error in dst status test: 1000-0142. Basically my hard drive is done. Im under warranty, but there are things on my hard drive that can not be replaced. Dell has given me the following list of companies who will give me a discount: Salvage Data Recovery Service On Track Driver Savers Action Front Data Recovery Labs Iomega Data Recovery Services CBL Data Recovery Services If anyone has any experience with any of these companies, or has another company that I can use I would greatly appreciate it. I will not be able to live with myself if some of this stuff is lost. Success is much more important than price. We have used On Track before when one of our admins didnt backup one of our financial servers. It was costly and they recovered most of the data.

This is not a virus, but a vulnerability that can be used by a virus/worm/malware. You can click on a link, that will download something to your system that can bypass all of your security because of this. Be careful on clicking on items in your email or going to unknown websites. There are current viruses and malware that are using this to download themselves onto your computer. Most likely within the next day your Antivirus will have some signatures for the most prevalent pieces of malware/viruses, however until a patch is out just be a bit more cautious.
  4. No patch to this puppy yet. Watch your email, and be careful on what you click on. I have seen at least 100 emails coming into my company tonight a link to a URL that has this in it. Its out there. In the link below there are some workarounds. These are not fixes, and you should be careful. Hopefully Microsoft is working on a fix, and will release it before their monthly supertuesday patch. Just another awesome feature of Microsoft.
  5. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) WOW. Best breaking ball I've seen in quite awhile from Thornton. Joe Borchard finally did something for us.
  6. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 08:03 PM) Not every left pitcher throws a changeup that tails away from a righty. And he doubled up on the pitch. Give the pitcher some credit. Even the best hitters make outs 70% of the time. We lead the AL last year with a .290 average against righties, and we were 11th out of 14 teams in the AL against Lefities. So we can sugar coat it all we want, we need to improve against lefties.
  7. Hey our late defensive replacement is in the game, Brian Anderson.
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 07:45 PM) LOLOL. Who is that guy. I thought a fan ran onto the field.
  9. My boss gave me 2 weeks off without burning any vacation, due to the wife having a baby. So I get to see all the day games next week from my couch, while making my salary.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 07:18 PM) IP Thats easy enough to mess with.
  11. Okay MLB.tv question, how do they figure out the blackouts. Do they use your credit card billing address, or is it something setable.
  12. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 07:14 PM) That move is so awesome. He was safe. However it was a good move. Danks should be hanging out with Buerhle, picking up the pickoff move, the sinker and maybe the cut fastball. It will help him in the long run.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 07:10 PM) I've never heard of a manager putting his slowest hitter 3rd, especially when he has 2 other outstanding hitters with similar skill sets hitting behind him. Lets see Dye hit in the 3 hole in 05 for the championship run. Nah, lets throw Kong in the 3 hole.
  14. Now that was pretty situational hitting. Hit a nice fluid line drive and get the run in.
  15. QUOTE(southsida86 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 06:58 PM) I forgot to mention that he clearly overthrew that pitch. AJ had to jump to keep it from being a wild pitch. It was a game in Seattle towards the end of the season. I think he was pitching against Moyer. The reason I remember it is because I didn't think he had that velocity in him. Maybe just maybe that was an error with the gun. I mean I realize the other day when the gun said 111 for a ball thrown in a ST game that it was probably an error, I didnt think for a moment wow 111, if he could only harness it.
  16. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 06:56 PM) His control is even more important than the velocity he lost last year. Even at 87, if he gets the ball up and too much of the plate he will get hit hard. He's been able to paint for so many years, I just hope he can get back to that. When he's on a roll, its a 2 minute inning. When Mark is at his best, he sets up right handers with a cutter that starts in and just digs in on their hands. It has a tight rotation, and is very hard to put into play fair. It sets up everything. He can then go away with the changeup and sinker.
  17. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 06:51 PM) Hawk never says Buerhle reminds him of Catfish anymore. Someone needs to kick Hawk because he is skipping. He keeps repeating the same 5 or 6 names of baseball players he compares several members of the sox too.
  18. QUOTE(southsida86 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 06:49 PM) I know he is not a flamethrower, ha ha ha. Jamie Moyer is a junkballer. he can barely reach 88 with the fastball. Buehrle can probably hit 90 every now and then. In 2005 he threw a fastball at 94 He never threw the ball 94. If he hit 94, check the gun because its broken.
  19. QUOTE(southsida86 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 06:43 PM) Would you guys consider Buehrle a junkballer? No he is a flamethrower. The radar gun is dialed down a bit, just for effect.
  20. Now Paulie hit that ball up the middle last time up, and now James tried to get one in and left it over the plate and he kills it. Taking away that outer corner will allow the sox to just kill a team, because it will force them to come back in. Nice piece of hitting.
  21. Changeups low and away are the Sox Kryptonite. Walker is probably upset that James isnt playing to their gameplan by challenging over the middle of the plate. Damn sneaky lefty, how do they get away with this.
  22. Wow more Grindstad this inning, I cannot wait.
  23. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 06:26 PM) Wow, I'm not sure what the hell Tadahito was trying to do right there. He's in for a huge let down this season if he wants to be a power hitter. Having him bat 2nd, allows him to keep closed more and wait on the pitch for contact. Walker has been working on getting around on the ball with Gooch more this spring, so that translates to looking like donkey balls when someone goes low and away to you. He will hit some monster shots, but at some point everyone will go low and away just like the rest of the right handed power hitters on our team. Uribe swinging at a ball over his melon for strike three. He is ready for the regular season.
