Red Sox vs. White Sox, 1:05, Game thread

Point of reason why I hate red cub fans. Instead of being respectful of a team and their park, they feel it absolutely necessary to start lets go red cub chants. Do other teams do this at opposing parks, no. Only the red and blue cubs do this. If I went to Wrigley East and tried the same thing, there would be a f***ing riot. -

If our hitters start to try and hit line drives tonight, and not take long looping swings trying to park every pitch we would of chased Bloody Sock about 2 innings ago. He has nothing today. -

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) The trib said that Javy Vazquez is available for relief today. If he keeps his inconsistancies maybe he will be available for a trade also. -

Well it seems that our offense is trying to hit home runs and nothing else. Dye with a crappy pull of a pitch that was on the black on the outside. Medicore fastball, now he is throwing a change for a strike. How are we not killing this guy, oh its because we think this is the start of the home run derby. -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) Um, the Red Sox are a really good team. But their pitching hardly impresses me. Schilling has nothing today. We should be killing him today. We lit up Beckett, and we were a small shot from putting Lester out of Fridays game. -

Schilling can only throw a fastball for a strike so far. Cue to the team, sit fastball, then kill it. -

Thank you Big Dummy for swinging at 3-0. Well I would like to thank the Count for deciding to introduce a new arm angle when he had some time on the DL. He was pitching just fine, then added something and is kind of inbetween 2004 Contreras and 2005 Contreras. Why oh why when you are successful do you f*** with your mechanics. ST is when you f*** with mechanics not when you are in a playoff hunt. -

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) great, a walk. 0-2 with Big Papi coming up. And you hit the batter. What a f***ing retarded move. Our pitching needs a f***ing clue. -

Nice contact on the 3-1 fastball down the cock Pods. Then nice contact once again on the 3-2 hit and run. How about more Mack in LF. Pods is providing nothing but the faint glimse of speed. His BA is not good. His defense is terrible and we are not the smallball team anymore. What he provides in speed and disruption is not worth his pathetic bat and his pathetic defense. -

I think we can finally say, NO MORE MACK in CF. Mack can play LF when Mr. Playboy needs a day off. -

Pitches-strikes: Schilling 25-18, Contreras 66-42. It might be nice for our hitters to work the count a bit, and put the ball in play some. Or Schilling will go deep into this game, while our bullpen will be facing the red cubs. -

65 pitches for the Count. His day will be over before the 5th on this pace. -

Contreras needs to get a bit more economical on his pitches. He is almost at 60 pitches already. -

If this ump wants to have some fun, he should get s***faced, then review the video of his strikezone. First inning no low pitches are strikes. Then after Bloody Sock throws some low pitches, then it starts to get called. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) Yep....how dare he try to prove he belongs. I hate Schilling with a passion, but if he goes out there today and shoves it up his ass, I'll admire his intensity. f*** him. All that we need to do is to square up the meatball he keeps throwing over the middle of the plate. His split is for s*** right now. We for whatever reason are trying to hit every ball to mars. Just get a good quick cut on the ball. -

Paulie late on fastballs down the cock, then pulls it to the 3rd baseman. Then Dye hits the first pitch to Trot. Sleepwalking already. -

QUOTE(peanut33tillman @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 01:34 PM) Bloody hell I dont know the percentages of how often we throw base runners but s*** if I scout this White Sox ballclub anybody with decent legs outta be swiping second all day....s*** IT DOESNT SEEM LIKE WE THROW OUT ANYBODY!! Yesterday Mirabelli stole off of Freddy and his required long stride to achieve 86mph. -

I dont mind when a hard thrower like Jose is a bit long to the plate, I have no f***ing clue why 86 mph Freddy Garcia needs a long stride. -

I think the umps overall need a clue on what the rulebook says about the strikezone.
