Another outside pitched pulled to the SS. Good approach today. The only one that has a plan today is the rook. -

QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) I wouldnt say that. We've had so many opportunities to score this series and havent cashed in. POOR clutch hitting is why were about to be swept, but i wouldnt say there the better team. Our over reliance on the dong, and the love of our team for pulling every f***ing pitch no matter where it is in the zone. If its in, then turn on it. If its away go with the pitch. Konerko f***s himself up because he gets into these ruts where he pulls every f***ing pitch. When you see this, you get lots of pop ups, with the suicide shrug. Then you will get lots of GIDP and lots of grounds where he plays pepper with the 3rd baseman. Basically what you have seen in this series. We are a much better team when we go with the pitch, work the count to get into good hitters counts, then hit the home run when you are in that count. We are a s***ty hitting team when we go up there looking to park every f***ing pitch. -

KW and Ozzie need to address this team before they leave today. They havent shown up on the field this entire series and basically mailed it in. -

Its time for someone to step up to be the hero today. So far Anderson, Gooch, and Thome are having a good day at the plate. The rest need to f***ing step it up, and get a big hit. -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 03:11 PM) I hate this umpire. During the allstar break, Selig should re-distribute this poster as a reminder that the zone is from the knees to the nipples over the plate. Not to change as X pitcher with X reputation shows up. This reminds me of the classic days of Droopy pitching for Atlanta that he would get anything thrown within a football field of the plate would be an automatic strike. -

QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) The ump hasnt called that pitch ALL game That is because its a ball. Another f***ing pathetic display by Paulie and Dye there. On the graphic Dye is 3 for his last 18 with men in scoring position since May 24th. -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) Mack needs to start in LF after THAT. We need the Rally Crede and Rally Mojo on Ozzie to get that one done. Pods is not getting it done at all. And worst of all, he is taking his crappy play onto the field. -

QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) Nice recovery by JC after that 4th inning, but unfortunately it looks like his streak is over No, the law of averages will set in. Mr. Bloody socks medicore fastball and one of our home run swings will meet each other in the middle and the ball will bounce up onto the concourse. -

Anderson looks good out in CF. Ball goes up, ball gets caught. Other people who have been out there it looks like a panic attack is about to set it. Ball goes up, bad route taken, ball rolls to the wall. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) Schilling is really shoving it up our asses today, eh? Actually we think the home run derby started already. If we just approached it with getting base hits, and keeping the conga line moving we would be winning. Yet we are late on fastballs down the middle of the plate. Schilling up until last inning was only throwing his fastball for strikes. -

Well on the good news front. That was the best swing that Crede put on a pitch all series long. He had a line drive cut on it, went with the pitch. On the bad news front baseball tonight will do a expose on how great bloody sock is, and not how our team is approaching him today.
