  1. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 25, 2008 -> 06:30 PM) It's a little early to be calling people out for that one. He's only 1/12 of the way into his 4 year deal. One thing's for sure though; his stuff is much much much better this season than it was last year with Milwaukee and San Diego. Coop fixed him .
  2. QUOTE (stretchstretch @ May 25, 2008 -> 06:51 PM) Did anyone hear Joe Morgan call him "QUENTANA" there at the end???? I heard it. There was a guy named Carlos Quintana I believe who played for the Red Sox , 1st baseman, I think in the 80's or early 90's. The decades blend together when you're old .
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 25, 2008 -> 06:40 PM) Most of those people were on Ozzie's coaching staff and not Soxtalk. In fact, I remember most everyone being downright excited over the Quentin acquisition, much like most of Soxtalk was exstatic over a minor acquisition made by Kenny before the start of the 05 season (Bobby Jenks being claimed off waivers). Sox talk always seems generally excited over 2 things, young power pitchers and young power hitters. When we got Aardsma, Sisco and whoever else KW got for the 06 pen this place was loving it. I remember making a post about experience and the wildness of unproven youth and was pretty much flamed. Gotta love CQ though. He seems like the real deal.
  4. Top 3rd 0-0 after Anderson forces Swish.
  5. Sure give Weaver that 2-0 inside pitch ump.
  6. 28 pitches for Danks that inning.
  7. Bags juiced . 1 out . Still a chance to get out of the inning without any damage.
  8. Need the DP . Throw a GB Dizzle.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 24, 2008 -> 12:10 PM) Why does Weaver own the Sox? Bad inning. I see it a little different. Got a walk. Dye with a 9 pitch AB. Be patient.
  10. Let's get it started ! Lead off BB for OC.
  11. Good start . 3 GB's , 3 different infielders.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 11, 2008 -> 10:37 AM) I'm locking it again. This thread was nothing but a damn curse to the Sox. Only Cub fans believe in curses.
  13. QUOTE (G&T @ May 18, 2008 -> 04:16 PM) That's true. Ramirez was slow getting the ball to OC, I thought. Either way, Masset did a great job. Masset was awe-inspiring.
  14. QUOTE (G&T @ May 18, 2008 -> 04:15 PM) I love it when Alexei is hitting. He scored 2 runs they don't score without his speed. If Alexei was on base when Alexei hit that 2 out double instead of Dye, Alexei would've scored standing up while Dye looked like he was DYEing just getting to 3rd.
  15. QUOTE (G&T @ May 18, 2008 -> 03:06 PM) As mad as I was with Dotel out there, Masset did an AWESOME job getting 3 straight DP balls (2 for the defense to f*** up), and the offense was all over the Giants. Thank God. The D didn't screw up the 2nd one. Durham was flying out of the box and it wasn't hit hard.
  16. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 18, 2008 -> 03:09 PM) The offense was good today, thank god, because the bullpen sucked. Dotel just looked like he was tired, and kept getting everything up. Wasserman and Thornton were just terrible. OC Masset Brian Anderson Taking CQ for granted ?
  17. Jason locked the " Your First Place Chicago White Sox !" thread saying it was a curse but just an awesome road trip. Plenty of kudos to go around. Bullpen looked sloppy until Massett. Another good start by Danks.
