  1. There is no reason for this team to be considering trading Peavy. Plus to the Dodgers? They are in far worse shape in the standings then we are so maybe they become sellers instead
  2. Let us win and keep winning to the post season
  3. I am responsible for the offensive outburst cuz I used reverse psychology
  4. I am taking credit for todays win and offensive bust out! I used reverse psychology in the 2nd inning when we failed to get the runners in scoring position in for the score. I am awaiting my rewards and accolades now
  5. The question we all had earlier was Dunn done. Now did the talk and adjustment made by Adam and Mnato get him back on track? He has hit the ball with authority this series. We need more time to make an announcement but if Adam can keep this up we have a chance to rebound this year.
  6. I think I see our problem now... Can it be NO OFFENSE!?
  7. One game at a time and soon we will be in first place
  8. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ May 15, 2013 -> 02:22 AM) Sometimes it looks like Dunn just closes his eyes against lefties & hammers away. Poor Big Donkey. A homer and 2 k's so all he needs to do is walk and he is back to offense normal
  9. Ramirez is like 8 for last 12 or so. So good to see him coming through at the bat
  10. Dunn got robbed last night and has missed another couple lately also woith power to the wall. Getting this one tonight has got to help him feel better. Me to for that matter. Dunn and the Tank are ok tonight in my book
  11. The team needs to relax and quit trying to do more than can be done. Concentration is the key. These guys are pros. They made it to the pros for some reason and just need to quit pressing, which is what losing does to you. Don't panic!
  12. Kepp is playing now as full-time when he is asuper-sub. We need to get people back in roles they are comfortable in
  13. Smite those devile in angels garb right here
  14. Send those Angels to Church with your pick and do it here
  15. We need some good karma while out on the coast so give it here with your PTC
  16. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 14, 2013 -> 12:20 AM) It was a generic time frame. Ok, so maybe it's five years. I don't care. It's amazing how critical everyone is on this board over posts. Wow. Sorry mags but you set yourself up for that one. It is easy to call for a complete tear down but what are we supposed to be expecting in retrun for trading all our players away and who is on the block? Plus how many more of these threads are we going to see? At the start of todays game we were 5 out in the AL Central. Our offense is struggling and we make to many errors and mental mistakes. Does that mean we can't ever expect players to live up to their potential or career numbers? I don't see any reason to panic yet
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) Even his swing has looked tons better. It isn't that ridiculous pull swing. That swing is lightning fast & powerful
  18. The team has a real strength at pitching. We are solid with gld glove fielders at SS and 2B. We need a 1Bman only because Konerko will retire soon. We need a 3Bman. We seem to be set pretty good in LF and if we decide to sign Rios again then we are good at RF. CF could be iffy. De Aza ain't bad but we might upgrade. Catching is an issue. Now we do have some good looking OF prospects in the minors. How far away are they? Two years maybe? This team ain't bad now but we do need a resurgent Dunn and see if Gillaspie can perform at 3B. Now that one takes a bit of time. With Adam Dunn you just don't know if the time has run out. I hope not but he just hasn't shown anything
  19. It hurts sometimes to watch the futility of some of our players trying to do their best and failing. Yoiy kjnw they don't want to be bad but there it is for everyone to see. I have always believed that some players can be excellent in a specific role and when out of that comfort zone they can and often do fail. Tyler is better as a backup. But, as has been said before it's still early in the season so maybe he can turn it around. At this point what other choice do we have?
