  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 10:03 PM) Neither Humber nor Floyd have had good control of their fastball and they're both getting shelled when they pitch from the stretch. That might well be a pitch-tipping from the stretch issue. Yes and I agree that that is correctable - if they can identify the issue
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 10:00 PM) Quintana doesn't have anything near overpowering stuff either, so if he has a couple bad outings, he'll be just as much of an enemy quite quickly. no argument but location and movement are major pluses for a 89-91 MPH fastball don't ytou agree?
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 10:00 PM) Danks gets a rehab start first right? If Q has another good start and Humber/Floyd have bad ones first then they might have little choice but to stick one of them in the pen for a couple weeks. Yes, but I thought Danks was getting two rehabs. Floyd was better but I don't know what Humber's issues are. Strange you go from perfect game pitcher to this so quickly
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 09:58 PM) If they keep pushing him, I don't think it'll be all that long before he has a couple bad games and everyone turns on him and wants him DFA'd. He's almost literally gone straight from A ball to the bigs and had a couple decent outings. You know it. It's all about what have ytou done right today, or even this at bat or that pitch. Stewart IMO just doesn't have that overpowering stuff and when not sharp gives it up
  5. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 09:57 PM) I have a hard time believing they'll take Q out right now. Not for a week or so is my guess. Maybe he takes over for Humber?
  6. I do think Stewart shoud be sent down though when Danks is ready to join the club again. However, that puts Quintana in the position of not throwing a whole lot which is most likely Stewarts problem now. He isn't real sharp. But, he gives up runs including homers and that ain't good when you only pitch an inning or two
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 07:54 PM) Good to see Soxtalk retaining its sanity It must be called on-line therapy?!
  8. This is the Astros mind you and they play out pf this world
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 04:47 PM) Well, my dad seemed adamant that it doesn't. My first thought when you asked "served minors" was a beer. LOLL. I would think the money to pay for your meal though is just as green there as anywhere. Question I would have is the food good and at what price?
  10. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:29 AM) Going to my first game this year and to mark the occasion I wanted to start the GT. I'll be in Section 110 yelling, "GO SOX!!!" Game on WGN-A so I will be behind the big screen loking for you and waving. I will yell too
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:20 AM) How dare he reach base 3 times tonight. Konerko now 3 for his last 24, he must be auditioning for 3rd base. He is an enigma for sure but if he doesn't K you might think he was sick or something
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:15 AM) I'm going to the game tomorrow. This game sure was a total bummer though. After the nice win last night, you'd expect the team to come out and play well. Instead, we hit like s*** with RISP, make dumb mistakes in the field, and pitch like crap. SMH. Probably be a good game tomorrow with Sale pitching. I would like to see that
  13. Instgead of 4-3 going to the bottom of the 9th the bullpen gives up 4 runs and we probably have to wait for Saturday and Chris Sale
  14. well boys and girls not to be a fatalist or anything but I think that just about does it for tonight. Thanks Santiago and Ohman
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:06 AM) But he was so good during Spring Training! I think whatever he did flew South for the summer
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:04 AM) Dear Hector, I'm really sorry about what the White Sox did to you. Hopefully they will see the light and bring up Brian Bruney and one of the other AAA guys have a decent season out of the bullpen to replace you and Zach Stewart They should at least think about it
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:03 AM) Hector being Hector. Hector needs to work on some things
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:00 AM) The funny thing was his curveball was HOF material tonight. They had no chance against it. The fastball was hit hard, although not very often. I see he had nine k's which is more lioke the Floyd we used to know. I was at dinner at a sports bar and they know me there as a Sox fan and turned the game on. I saw Floyd with a K or 2 and then also give up the homer. He said himself he leaves that ball up in the zone and gets smacked
  19. Kind of sad to see us with 12 hits to the Astros 5 yet we trail 5-3. Floyd and the home run ball haunt us again
  20. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 03:55 AM) Both of Tank's hammies tightened up on him. Hope he just needed to hydrate and stretch!
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 03:53 AM) What has Jordan Danks done? He is batting a whopping .500 don't ytou know? Of course it's 1 for 2
  22. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 03:50 AM) KW has to be on the horn after the Morel news. Gotta believe something's gonna happen soon. I take it Brent is out again?
  23. Why was Danks in for Viciedo? I just checked in to see what was happening on gameday
