  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 10, 2012 -> 12:21 AM) No, that's "I love sex, but that doesn't mean I'm easy."
  2. 私は、フィールドにもっとプレイしてバットでより多くを取得したい I think this might be the Japanese translation to I want to play more and get more at bats I don't see the problem does anyone else?
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 9, 2012 -> 01:45 PM) If Fukudome wanted to earn a starting job, he shouldn't have stunk with the Indians last year, and he should have been ready to really step up and contribute in the shots he's gotten this year rather than hitting .176 out of the gate. That too
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 9, 2012 -> 08:43 PM) Nothing screams WS here we come like a 3rd baseman hitting .219 with a .630 OPS who has been downsloping the past couple of years and is coming off an injury. Remember when trading for hurt players who had nice track records was bad. Trades like the Peavy deal? You got it. I think even if we moved Morel we have other options at 3B. I am guessing he isn't going anywhere though other than maybe a platoon role
  5. Robin Ventura said he understood and supported Fukodome expressing his feelings and wanted players who wanted to play. That's good enough for me thank you very much
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 9, 2012 -> 06:04 PM) Please god tell me you're not saying this would be a bad trade for the White Sox? Please tell me you don't think this trade will take us to the top?
  7. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 9, 2012 -> 06:16 PM) From the same aritlce I think: That's what Cherington should have said, what Sox players would have expected him to say -- according Youkilis the respect he deserves. But that doesn't mean Youkilis remains in a Sox uniform for the rest of the season. A trade of Youkilis this season is inevitable, and quite possibly sooner than later. Why the Boston Red Sox should trade Kevin Youkillis. Sure the Bosox might trade him, but just not to the Chisox I hope. He is in his last year or so probably with a beat up body and having a hard time producing. He is in fact not getting along wih Bobby V but that doesn't mean much IMO. Getting a player in the late stage of their career reminds me so much of the pre-free agency days. The Sox picked up guys like Ken Boyer and Rocky Calavito in 1967 trying to get some offesne to take them to the pennant. It didn't work and those guys were gone the next year but played another year or two. My point is all we are getting is a rental and if we pick up salary it makes even less sense
  8. Jake has been good and showing no signs of letting up. Let's go Sox!
  9. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 9, 2012 -> 04:59 PM) It's also Rogers, I asked him politely if he has a source to this rumor, but that guy never writes back. Yep no reply. That is because it is just idle speculation on the part of a sports writer wanting to manage something other than fantasy baseball teams. However, with the idea of trading Thornton for a player batting around .200 and I think still on the D/L you wonder how well Phil's fantasy teams perform?
  10. I think the team is just searching for it's own direction right now. Sale, Santiago, Reed, Viciedo, Flowers, Morel, and on and on. Can they cut it or not and what might be their roles? Regardless of some early success and also some failures we are in a rebuilding phase right? Let's give it some time rather than live and die on every game. I want to win too but have come to accept the phase we are going through at this point in time.
  11. Strike 3 to Hafner by using a changeup. Looked nasty
  12. There is one out. Reed going after them. I am so giddy!
  13. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 9, 2012 -> 01:54 AM) Konerko with asingle. Now I bet we see a PR and then abunt atempt by AJ well I was half wrong
  14. Konerko with asingle. Now I bet we see a PR and then abunt atempt by AJ
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ May 9, 2012 -> 01:50 AM) Lots of s*** to a guy that just had a scoreless inning! I hate not letting his results today dictate how much s*** we give him. Today = success But I hope he goes down when Crain comes up Regardless of the results I have to believe these guys are trying as hard as they can to do good and win games. Good for Hector S to come through
  16. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ May 9, 2012 -> 01:48 AM) Are we talking minor or majors? That's important. It's 50/50
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2012 -> 01:42 AM) Will Morel hit more homers this year than Hamilton had tonight? That's the biggest question to come out of tonight's games. He can do it
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 9, 2012 -> 01:31 AM) Trying to get the CG shutout for Danks screwed Ventura there. He should have left well enough alone and not pushed him and taken him out of the game with only good thoughts to rest upon. Now he doesn't even have a Win to show for that effort. Danks already had mid 90's in terms of pitch count, did we really want to put him in the 115-125 range to get a CG with how shaky he's been this season? Common occurence and complaint. He seems to like to go just a bit too long with the starter
  19. Dunn called out on three balls he didn't he swing at. Is this Indian pitcher that good/deceptive?
  20. wow that was quick work of De Aza and Beckham
