QUOTE (knightni @ May 5, 2012 -> 08:52 AM) Kenny Williams: Domino Effect How The Want of a Top Starting Pitcher (Javy Vazquez) Perpetually Destroyed a Minor League System I liked your take on this and the follow up conversations

We are struggling a bit and have lost I think 8 of the last 11 or maybe it's 9 of the last 11. I can't remember. All I konw is it is more fun to win. We should all step back a bit instead of biting each others heads off because we don't agree with someone's take on things. It is a long season and no reason to make it longer with all this fightng back and forth. Now for the original post topic and that is how Marty is right half the time. Well, ok but is he right the half the time he might write something you agree with or wrong half the time when he doesn't? I sure feel strongly both ways about that.

Chris Sale is now the CLOSER?!/Until he's not (Update)

QUOTE (flavum @ May 4, 2012 -> 11:49 PM) I just heard Coop say they're doing it for Sale's career, not for the team. Truthfully, if Sale is informed and wants to continue starting at his own risk, why not let him? If anything, limit his pitch count to 90 and actually use some of those long relievers? To me, there was a way to do this without taking Sale out of the rotation permanantly this season. This team is going to get blown up real good by July 31st. So what is the take on all of this? Is the move permanent or temporary? If it is made to save Sale's career it sounds like starting is out for good. -

QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 5, 2012 -> 12:03 AM) I am not happy with Kenny Williams job performance. I make no apologies for that. I think it's incredibly strange the lengths you go to defend him. I want to give KW the benefit of the doubt, but I wasn't and still am not happy with his job performance either. I am not sure though I would blame Sale's tender elbow on KW. I think Robin and Coop have broght him along pretty well -

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 4, 2012 -> 10:35 PM) He must have told them his arm wasn't feeling too hot. His velocity was down in his last start. I noticed it was down. I think 93 tops? This is not a good thing. If his elbow hurts why keep pitching? You would think rest is what he needs -

Looked like we were an alternate a few times like we were last night

QUOTE (flavum @ May 4, 2012 -> 04:27 PM) We're going to learn a lot about this team over the next 12 games. 3 at Det 4 at Cle 3 vs KC 2 vs Det It's time to play well in every facet. This is correct

QUOTE (Cali @ May 4, 2012 -> 11:21 AM) Thank God they've gotten away from Home... So weird to say that.... Time for Jake to be that stopper. I agree but wish we could get to that point with Danks where we don't have to be praying for jake to always be the stopper. Hate to imagine what happens when he gets hit hard some time

Rios delivers with a two out hit to plate the run. You have to hand it to Alex this year he is turning it around -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:46 AM) I will continue to hold out hope that Danks will find his groove this month. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't give up the long ball. He rebounded in that inning pretty good -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:43 AM) Ha, what a joke. Danks now allowed runs in 7 of the 11 innings he's pitched after Sox have scored. Hey AJ, stop calling fastballs! They have to start doing something different for sure -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:40 AM) Real nice break for De Aza. The difference in the game is the Danks errors right now. Now we see if Danks can hold the Tribe down. How many times has he given up whatever the Sox offense has been able to give him? -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 3, 2012 -> 06:12 PM) Find that changeup, Johnny! I want to see Mr Danks step up tonight. He has been so inconsistent so far and allows too many walks and homers. I think tonight he finds the way and changes all that up -
Alright Alexei. Ties it and goes to 2nd on Damon's throw. Stone Pony said they would run all night on Damon's arm

QUOTE (Tmar @ May 3, 2012 -> 02:22 AM) I thought Humber was a lefty? What?
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 3, 2012 -> 02:21 AM) Beckham still shoulda had that one. Too bad Humber couldn't make it through his last half inning. 1-0 lead woulda been nice. Maybe so, but they all make erors from time to time. Pitcher needed to step up and help the teammate

Gameday said Humber was runing out of gas already. Couyld be true I guess as he gives up the long bomb
