  1. Interesting question about Alexei in CF. I kind of forgot that other than he played it in Cuba. Did he not always say he liked SS better though? Vrsatile and ahtletic guy. Good to have him on the Sox. He has alot odf range at SS and I also remember when he played 2B there were commenst about him covering more ground then most any other 2Bman
  2. Looks like WGN-A will have the Sox on Saturday evening and Sunday day versus the Tigers. Nice to have the weekend planned.
  3. Can this be a turnaround for the Sox. We win three in a row in Beantown and I believe have a winning record on this road trip
  4. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) What?! Red Sox Nation doesn't stretch to Montana? My daughter likes them only becasue I love the Chisox and she is a delinquent
  5. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) Anyone feelin' sorry for Red Sox Nation? Not here
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 09:23 PM) Ouch. Bad choice. You woulda thunk I would lurn someday
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 09:21 PM) Back to Earth? When did he ever leave? I just realized I made him my PTC today.
  8. Dunn is back to earth. After getting that walk he just has to strike out to let us know he is mortal after all
  9. Have I told you lately PK how much I love you?
  10. Gavin did it! Our bullpen should be ready for the 8th and 9th though
  11. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) i expected that result Only Konerko and maybe Quentin might have had a chance at a 98 MPH fastball
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:38 PM) Rich Hill seemingly paging Tommy John from the sounds of it. You never want to see that
  13. At least Dunn got the walk against the lefty. Now here is Lilli
  14. Pitching chan ge. Bringing in the lefty to face Dunn. Dunn is Done
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) It's okay to take a chance on contracts if you can come up with league minimum guys that can perform - Humber, Lillibridge, Santos come to mind quickly. Jury is out on Beckham, Morel, Viciedo (not league minimum, but you get the idea). Even a really cheap Omar has helped out. Some of these under the radar moves may make up for the flops. If I had to choose one guy that would turn it around though, I think Dunn is most likely to do so. I think we all are pulling for Dunn. Not only for the team obviously but for himself. I don't buy into the talk or complaints on lack of effort.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:14 PM) I don't think anyone is calling for Lillibridge to get an extension right now and be our starting LF next season. However, he is a great bench player. The versatility he brings is what makes him so valuable and effective
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:13 PM) There is nothing flukish about Lillibridge's hitting. He's short with his swing this season, as he looks to be adopting Rowand's former swing. I think he is the real deal
  18. Gavin has settled down and can go longer if needed I think. I thought he had more picthes thrown than he does
  19. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:10 PM) I am not disagreeing with you at all but why is it that so many people are behind Brent but dismiss Humber as being a fluke? I think it is just the history. Lili has been up longer. Phil Humber is good and I am hoping he keeps it up too
  20. Lilli is the man and has as many if not more homers than Dunn
