QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 27, 2011 -> 01:09 PM) Putting Phil Humber in the bullpen because he's not paid enough is ****ing baseball suicide. I can see the move back to a 5 man rotation, but the one I see as being an inconsistent performer is Jackson not Humber. Maybe jackson with his abiity to strike people out would work better as the long relief man and spot starter until he can get back to being a consistent performer

QUOTE (soxsider11 @ May 27, 2011 -> 12:23 AM) A feeling hes going to hit a high pop up to the 2b It was actually a low pop

Ramirez showed patience and walks so bases now loaded for the CQ

Pierre delivers

Rios bad in 2009 and good for us in 2010 and now bad again. What's up with that one too. He does seem to hit the ball hard into ouits a lot, but he has to do better then thuis. He and Dunn can stall any offensive output we have going

I like this Humber kid. I saw him pitch in Seattle and was impressed with his poise and everything. He matched ole King Feliz in Seattle.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 27, 2011 -> 12:10 AM) Are you kidding? They gave us a completely free out this inning. I am just making comments as any red blooded sox fan would. So yes I am kidding. But not about the strike zone

Has Humber lost focus? After bautista and that caught stealing looks shaky
-
ump is squeezing Humber. They don't like us and we should sue or something

QUOTE (soxsider11 @ May 27, 2011 -> 12:04 AM) Buehrle and Humber have as many k's pitching as dunn batting Pretty amazing stuff right there

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ May 27, 2011 -> 12:55 AM) We need Jermaine Dye to come and tell Dunn how to get out of the "Welcome to the White Sox 2 Month Slump." I think J Dye would do just as good right now even being out of baseball almost two years

It was Joe Carter

I have been doing my best to support the team and it's putrid offesne, but this is getting tiring. Dunn has more K's than anyone in th league if not both leagues. Too bad the guy isn't a pitcher for crying out loud. We need some spark. Where will it come from and when and how

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2011 -> 01:05 AM) The ghost of Jim Thome? That's a new one. lol. All Jim Thome did was sport a wOBA of .393 and provide 11 WAR in his time in Chicago. Which is pretty good considering he obviously didn't play the field. This offense doesn't suck because a HOF was great at what he was supposed to do. Probably cost us a playoff appearance last year in not having him. I liked Jim Thome so there

QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 26, 2011 -> 02:39 AM) I think Ventura hit 4th a lot, George bell fell outta favor with gene Lamont, Bo Jackson steped up and had like 20 homers in 282 at bats or something, I know he struck out over 100 times too. Those days were pretty special. I remember how in one game Robin hit a grand slam homer to win the game and Frank was waiting at home plate and lifted him on his shoulders. The line from ESPN was Robin and his Merry Men are at it Again

We can win it!

I would prefer we win tonight

What left handed pitcher are you referring to specifically?

I was looking here to see how many "grass"heads we got

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:29 AM) Gene Lamont led the White Sox to an AL West crown in 1993. In 1994 he had the White Sox in first place in the newly formed AL Central when the strike hit. JR still talks about how that team would have won the World Series. In 1995. when the Sox gave away Jack McDowell, and had a done John Kruk and Chris Sabo DHing, Lamont was fired after 31 games with the Sox sporting an 11-20 record, and was replaced by Terry Bevington. The Sox current record is 11-20. I think Jack McDowell might breath some passion into this team. Let's sign him to a free agent contract

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 25, 2011 -> 10:34 PM) Tyler Flowers simply does not look like a major league baseball player. Weren't the reviews better this year? -

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ May 25, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) IMO this is on Kenny because he's gotten us a lot of attractive pieces but with many of them not doing jack squat and NO ONE in the farm system... assuming the Sox don't pick it up and win this division we have a lose-lose; A bunch of overpayed hacks likely no one will want and no one to replace them in the minors. Should we even actually GET some young talent in a proposed firesale it couldn't be much, and then what's left? If we sell the ones who are producing we have a complete s*** team; if we sell the ones who aren't we won't get a whole lot back and we really don't look any better on paper... all this while still having the same farm system dilemma unless we somehow magically turn wine (whatever meh prospects we get back in proposed firesale) into gold. I don't see that happening and I don't see it being a good risk. We're f***ed if this team can't produce, hence, "All In." I agree that our farm system has been raped. We have some at that level and notably Viciedo that might help, but not many. Flowers maybe, but he and Dyan might still be that year away. After that it's thin or works in progress. I guess we have what we have and that's it so go for it all But, saying that we don;t see a lot of the traded away players making it. I would have liked to have seen Gio Gonzalez and Clayton Richard and maybe C Young in Az. stay with the Sox, but aftr that even though traded players are in the bigs they haven't done all that great.
