QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 07:49 PM) Hawk and his belief that every fly ball past the infield is flying out of the park. At least Dunn has been hitting the ball. Maybe good things will come soon?

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 07:47 PM) You meant what by that? I Tought it was a stupid comment He was just trying to make a joke. A bit awkward maybe but it was a joke

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) Was just about to say the same thing. It's ABOUT TIME these moron's realize what the majority of this board has been saying about JP since April. Ozzie is such a damn fool it's going to take 2 more months of this garbage play from JP for him to get it. But, then Juan has some good games and we love him again

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 07:28 PM) LOL, it was a joke I thought so

QUOTE (Chisoxrd5 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 07:26 PM) My White Sox fandom has come full circle. I'm now pining for Brent Lillibridge to be in the lineup everyday. Way to let me down Ozzie. I think even super stars need a rest now and then

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 07:25 PM) Huh???? So if he doesn't get the story he sould have mowed the A's down ine the first? That was really stupid to say. I hate it when people are critical

Humber has shown us in his short time in Chicago that he can battle back. We just need some offense

Sox V. A's, 6/11/11, 6:05ct, WGN

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 03:36 AM) Just saw the replay of Lillibridge's catch. That's top 5 for me for the Sox in the last decade. Hell of a season for him. I liked that Ozzie stayed with Crain, as Thornton against Willingham would have been a real bad match-up. Let's go win tomorrow and enjoy Monday I would not say top five for the decade, but take that, the one in CF and the two he made in NY and you have a legitimate one man high light reel. That catch today was awesome though. #1 on BBTN top 5 of the night -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 03:51 AM) Jenks in his prime was AWESOME! and you can't deny that!!! The bullpen arguably has been way worse than it was with Bobby last year BTW. Jenks was there last year about as much as Peavy has been there -
We won. Now only 4 1/2 out. Lillibridge has become one very valuable superb super type utilityman

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 01:04 AM) I don't know about you guys, but I am really pulling for the Sox to win by 1.5 runs tonight. It will be a historical event

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) Indians lost today again, it makes even more frustrating Sure, but let's win this one today versus the A's and we will be 4 games out. Games like his wil happen. Builds character they say

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) There are some HUGE ramifications to clubhouse and Santos' morale when you go out there and pull him before he blows it because he doesn't look right. He's earned the right to be the official closer, which means when he goes out there it's his game to lose. He hasn't squandered enough games to have that quick of a hook. Players would lose faith in their manager if he just gives up on guys that have been doing so well, we'd have another Brian Fuentes/Huston Street debacle. Santos knows his role, knows even if his first X amount of batters are horribly pitched he is in there until the game is won or lost. That's how it should be until further notice. I think you are pretty much right on with your comments. Looking into the future, which is elusive for sure, you don't do much for your new closer by pulling him as soon as things get rough. Santos has come thjrough some tight spots before so unless you have a magic ball there is no way to predict what might happen with the next batter. 2 out and 2 strikes on a fellow and then implode is not something you might be expecting

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) Yeah, AJ gestured with his hands way out as if he were saying "WTF?" That's an interpretation only AJP knows for sure is correct.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 09:52 PM) According to the MLB Network crawl, White Sox outfielder Magglio Ordonez has asked the team for more time with AAA Charlotte. Prrof writers must be on break

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 07:27 PM) Konerko's 16,000 sq ft house obviously. Nicely done. I'll buy you a case of beer for that one

Root for the Sox and for Danks to get his second win. I will be there behind the big screen. See you all at the game!

We lost a game that we should have won. It was pretty embarassing. However, as usual we vent and rage and want to round up the usual suspects and execute them. I will take a pass on that. Saturday is a new game and hopefully we come out on top.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 07:40 PM) 5 bucks says Dunn hits 2 bombs tonight... My PTC -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 08:33 PM) Well, he did need the practice Bunting is a lost art. Hard to really find many who can do it and do it right consistently. Juan tries maybe to use it more as a bluff to then draw the fielder in and slap at the ball.
