  1. QUOTE (tommy @ May 12, 2009 -> 09:26 PM) We have an outfield of Pods, Lillibridge, Dye. I see that Pods is back with the team
  2. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 12, 2009 -> 10:53 PM) good thing jeremy sowers is awful....probably won't matter though...that lineup is beyond pathetic....for those that hate broadway/mcculloch....Outside of the second half of 06? Sowers has been terrible and was picked 6th overall....makes those picks look halfway decent he may be awful, but remember this team "hasn't faced him before," which means he will be Cy Young tonight
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2009 -> 10:15 PM) Yep, Ozzie's stubborness to put Alexei in CF continues to hurt this team. This is the worst lineup for a Sox team in many of years. Not good news about Quentin, just hope it's nothing serious. Alexei shouldn't be in CF when you have other options. My complaint is that a singles hitter like Lillibridge isn't down at AAA and someone with a bat is up. I guess that will be Andeson, but not until Friday. Why move people around at this point in time and risk defensive lapses? I don't believe you can expect Alexei to perform well in CF when he has been concentrating at playing SS since spring training.
  4. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ May 12, 2009 -> 09:24 PM) INstead of hitting the bat with his hand, he decided to give it a roundhouse kick. Shame. Now who plays in the OF?
  5. I think it was wise to pitch Buerhle on Wednesday as he will face Cliff Lee. Mark is bette suited for the close game as Richard might give up a few runs by the 5th or 6th inning. I hope Clayton can shine tonight. Interesting thing I noted from some Sox reports and that is the fact our W-L record is about the same as it was last year at this time. We just need to start firing on all cylinders soon and get things turned around.
  6. I was surprised to read that this teasm record is about the same as we last year at this time. Cautious Optimism abounds
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ May 12, 2009 -> 02:54 AM) looking at the sox remaining schedule for may we could possibly be out of the race when may is over. No. Our savinf gracxe is the AL Central is around .500 for the most part
  8. That was a good ten pitche at bat for Fields ending with a walk
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2009 -> 02:47 AM) Can we trade Broadway for Willie Harris? I liked Willie. Maybe they would take Lilibridge
  10. Tribe bringing in every relief pitcher they can against us to bring down their astronomical ERA's
  11. What was that play AJjust groundd out on? I see three defenders involved in a ground out to 1B
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2009 -> 02:36 AM) Holy hell, how'd I get lump in with the Walker supporters! We are all confused I think
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2009 -> 02:36 AM) It was a lefty reliever against Thome...what were you expecting? A battle of some sorts
  14. Did I just see this at bat right from Thome. three straight none reaching above 87 MPH and he K's
  15. Top four in the lineup arfe 2 for 16. Botom 5 are 9 for 15. Now we are in the "meat" of out line up
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2009 -> 02:28 AM) And my post was in response to Walker never turning around a "castoff" Maybe he has messed a few up?
  17. Come on offesne. 5 runs is doable and I don't mean over the course of several games like before
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 12, 2009 -> 02:23 AM) Don't worry guys Walker will fix his swing! Or Cooper might have to step in
  19. I wish Quentin would have gone with the pitch or watched a couple first. BL and nothing to show for it
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2009 -> 01:14 AM) I'd rather get blown out repeatedly than have to go through more Vazquez games. Honestly. I enjoy the Contreras debacles more. Plus he is only about .500 for Atlanta anyway isn't he? Not much improvement win wise
  21. Floyd and Gobble make quite a team. I don't know what can be done with Floyd and hope he wasb't a one s*** wonder with his 17 wins last year. I don't think so, but he just can't get it together at all. Hitting wise it is just another low crawl throuhg the mud. My guess is that when BA can rejoin the club then Lillibridge goes down, but I don't think that is going to have any affect on these guys anyway. What does it take for this line up to be able to beat someone with an ERA of 6 or 7 or more? They make these guys look like Cy Young winners. I am tired of their lame excuses about how they haven't faced this guy or that one before.
