  1. QUOTE (G&T @ May 11, 2009 -> 09:04 PM) According to Terry Boers, the Sox no longer see Marquez as a major league pitcher. FWIW. Great trade then wasn't it?
  2. QUOTE (chisox2334 @ May 11, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) lee goes wensday vs buerhle and richard goes tuesday Better match up that way I think. Floyd needs to step up tonight though
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2009 -> 03:51 PM) Have we really just turned into a cliche? Vote yes till they tell you no
  4. Two hits! Such an inconsistent and at time very futile offesnive display this year. They all contribute in one game once in awhile when we blast the opposition and then hibernate for three or four games in a row. But, we are only three games out and when the hitters hit on all cylinders I think we will be at the top or in the fight all year.
  5. He pitched a couple good games last year so hopefully he steps up
  6. I voted cause that's what we do around here and in America. But, what the heck are you talking about? Any Sox fan should be "innie" till the endie.
  7. Bobbie Jenks did it the right way when throwing at or behind Kinsler. He was sending a message but wasn't trying to harm Kinsler. He aimed at his rear and the only damage if he hit Ian was that the guy might feel uncomfortable for awhile when sitting on the pot. Bobbie Jenks is a class act in my opinion
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) Why are Stoney/Hawk making Padilla out to be a great pitcher? He's been really bad the past few years. Eases the pain
  9. If our offesne doesn't get into gear it won't matter if Richard pitches one inning or 15
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:16 PM) Wait, WHY IN THE f*** IS RICHARD WARMING UP? Goodness Ozzie, WTF is going on with you. Maybe they are using Carrasco instead
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:15 PM) It's been awful against the Sox, but I guess not a conspiracy since Ozzie hasn't been tossed yet. That's only casue they can't understand him when he comes out to argue. They can't figure out if he is complementing them or cussing them out
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:14 PM) And we're down 3-1 and it's about to be more. Omar with a flare that PK showed absolutely no range on. We suck We are done
  13. QUOTE (tommy @ May 10, 2009 -> 08:07 PM) Solo shot by Davis, 2-1 Rangers How can they hit homers in the cold and we can't?
  14. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 10, 2009 -> 08:02 PM) Pods f***ed up so many things when he got her pregnant Do you have video of some of the more enjoyable ones?
  15. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:05 PM) On my way to pick up lunch today I was listening to Coop and he said that Contreras accepted a demotion to AAA to work out his problems. Maybe that should be included in the thread title as well, because that does change things a lot Your right it does, but I think he has to clear waivers? But maybe not?
  16. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:34 PM) 3 balls hit hard and not 1 hit to show for it. But at least we tied it up. This is starting to feel like anti-2005 with breaks. I like that we are seeing some pitches anyway. That was a better inning
  17. QUOTE (tommy @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:31 PM) Jermaine scores on a wild pitch, tie game. We can use some of those gifts. No hits but we have a run
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:17 PM) And after the home plate umpire blows 2 strike calls in the AB, the Sox are trailing 1-0 on a Blalock homer. That may be all Padilla needs. But at least it was a solo shot
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:17 PM) And after the home plate umpire blows 2 strike calls in the AB, the Sox are trailing 1-0 on a Blalock homer. That may be all Padilla needs. Yesterday we seemed to have issues with the umps on the balls and strike calling
  20. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 10, 2009 -> 05:19 PM) Well yeah, but my point/question was encompassing the season, not just right now I think the hope is the Contreras finds his control and cures whatever else is the issue and the move to the pen is temporary. I am not certain Richard is the final answer for the team. Richard in long relief seesm and a cured Contreras seems to be a better option IMO.
  21. Let's win two in a row! Let our bats and quality pitching from Colon be the message we send
  22. Any team thinkin they can contend is not going to trade you a quality pitcher. The Angels will not tade Joe Saunders, etc. Howeevr, if Pedro Martinez will sign a Bart Colon type deal he might be an option.
