  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 04:20 AM) By the way, good thing we only ever started him against lefties. vs LHP .182 vs RHP .357 Brian is doing areal good job. Platooning is way overated anyway. But, in Saturday's game Owens did makea real fine catch in CF
  2. QUOTE (jamesdiego @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 09:12 PM) And now it begins, Lillibridge to the rescue tonight. Playing CF, battin 2nd. Anderson to RF, Dye to DH. Did Brent even play CF in spring training, how's his D? I think this means Owens is out soon, with Nix coming up. blog Don't like it
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:08 PM) His role will be garbage time unless there's an extra long game or something like that. You just have to hope Ozzie doesn't get carried away and uses him when a game is on the line when he doesn't have to. But, he will
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 05:58 PM) Blue Jays wisely called up a lefty for tonight's start, Brian Burres. "Burres was 0-2 with a 6.97 ERA in three games in Triple-A. He went 7-10 with a 6.04 ERA in 31 games with Baltimore last season." Sounds like it's ripe for the picking, but I'm not holding my breath. Not with the way our hitters react to a guy they have't seen before. Hopefully they don't try to analyze to much and just hit
  5. Colon and Contreras need to build up arm strength and be consistent with their pitches especially Jose and his forkball. I am thinking they will be better as the season goes on and in the meantime all we have to do is stay close util we gewt the consistent good games from those two.
  6. Tonight at 5 PM (MDT) is Sox and Jays on WGN. Buerhle throwing and hopefully puts some salve on our wounds from last night. WGN also has the Wed afternoon game listed as Sox take on the Seattle crew. I will be able to see the Monday and Tuesday games also as they are broadcast over Fox Sports-Rocky MT and we get that here. Looking forward to seeing you all behind the TV.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:24 PM) It was a $100 bill from Cito Gaston, thanking him for the pitch selection. Good one
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:55 AM) No...had chance to see him pitch. He was hanging every slider he threw. That was my question. Can he still pitch? Fathom has seen him and it must not have looked too good.
  9. That game was just a beat down and when down they kept kicking us. I hope it's an eye opener for this team and gets some of our non-producers stirred up a bit. It happens I know, but giving up 20 runs in two games and scoring only two is ridiculous. That game was an embarassment. Let's win tonight and be happy
  10. They should sign Pedro Martinez IMO and quit fooling around. We haven't seen any success from a number of lon releif candidates. Maybe Pedro could start and either Bart or Jose work long releif and build up their arm strength
  11. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 08:54 PM) Am I the only one that knew that wasn't real? No I knew it too, but that's because I read the news stories about it first
  12. QUOTE (juddling @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 11:15 AM) no problemo Have your avatar woman call me instead
  13. Let's just get along people. Can't we? Let's cheer for CQ and all the Sox.
  14. Go get em Gavin! I'll probably be able to get some of the game on XM radio
  15. Ramirez needs help bad. It may all be in his head, but this kid is tubing bad this season-realizing of course its only like game 15 or so
  16. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 12:29 AM) Yeah, it was a garbage throw from JD. I'm still a fan of the idea (next year) of JD to DH, Quentin to RF, and finding us another LFer. I would have to argue with you and say that Jermaine is a very good defender
  17. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 12:28 AM) im fairly certain we faced eaton when he was a ranger Hope so as that might help the hitters beat the dickens out of him
  18. Bart is out of the 1st with 2 runs. Now we have to go out and show our offensive firepower. But, if he is someone they haven't faced before... blah-blah-blah we lose 10-1
  19. I think they madea mistake in the pitch sequence to Huff. Huff hates to face the changeup, but if you throw him 5 or 6 in a row he just might be ready for that last one... and he was
  20. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 12:21 AM) defense very lackadaisical after playing behind danks, where they were probably allowed to be more relaxed this is colon, ball is gonna be driven all over the place, these guys need to get their s*** together The issue is we need to have a good defensive showing behind pitchers like Bart and Mark Buerhle, who pitch to contact and we don't get it
  21. Why would we want to change? However, I did like the road uniforms from about the mid to late 1960's
  22. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 12:45 AM) AJ is your pick. I do not accept posts involving more than one player. Please send me a red alert warning when I pick someone and they aren't in the line up. I have done it at least twice, but it's Ozzie's fault not mine
