Manuel finally takes Sanders out and brings in White. Jeeeerrrrrryyyyyy, the games over dude! Let Koch pitch and get some work and maybe the Botch can figure out how to throw faster than 50 MPH. I have had enough. Good night Sox fans!
-
Another two out hit. Will this ever end?
-
The hits just keep coming.... and so do the Tiger runs against the hapless Sox
-
I almost said something good about Sanders and then he gives up a two strike two out hit to allow another run in for that dynasty they call the Tigers.

You can only hold out hope for so long and then you let go... I am so tired of hearing the lame excuses from these guys about why they can't win. You know, YOU JUST KNOW it will be more of the same tomorrow and they'll tell us about how there is still time adn we can do it, etc losers can't be winners and that's what we have playing for the Sox LOSERS!
-
I can see that nothing changed over the break with the hitting approach to the game. All the Sox hitters think they are Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds all rolled into one. They never change do they? It's live and die for the homerun and we only get a homer barrage every 5 or 6 games.
-
I wonder what excuses the hitters will have tomorrow when talking about the lose to maroth who has a 4-13 record? Probably that he is really a Cy Young pitcher in a losers body. I see the graphic on pitches to Ordonez and the guy is swinging at pitches that look like there in the dirt.

The so called book the Sox have in how they want to approach these games should have been thrown out. I agree Buerhle should have started. I have got to wonder if any team is going to be offering Colon 10M next year with the way he has been pitching.
-
Let's hope it starts raining really hard beforte the end of the 4th.
-
I just had to log onto MLB game day and now SoxNet. I was just in time to see Colon get rocked again. Detroit for Christ sakes! This has got to be the most pathetic team in baseball right now

Watching the Royals beat the Mariners and the Royal's fans are singing HEH HEH NA NA GOODBYE The Royals suck and so do their fans. Who do these retards think they are anyway?
-
Personally the only time I saw Shoeless Joe Jackson was in Eight Men Out and Field of Dreams, but he was darned good.
-
Horlen and Peters led a great pitching staff in the 60's. I agree both were better than McDowell and Black Jack was plenty good. I also think Wilbur Wood could be listed as an "other" when thinking about great pitching.

Mustangs hang Sox out to dry Nanita extends hitting streak to 26, one short of record By Tribune Staff -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BILLINGS -- It's official. The Great Falls White Sox are slumping. The Sox managed only three harmless singles and were shut out for the first time this season as the Billings Mustangs cruised to a 10-0 victory here Wednesday night in a Pioneer League baseball game. Luis Bolivar and Habelito Hernandez combined for seven hits and three RBI as Billings clobbered Great Falls and moved into a tie for second place in the Pioneer's Northern Division. The Mustangs, winning for the 11th time in 13 outings, improved to 17-10. That's the same record as the White Sox, but Great Falls is most definitely not on a winning streak. It was the White Sox' third straight loss, and fifth setback in six straight games to the Mustangs. With 11 games left in the 38-game first-half schedule, Great Falls, which has dropped six of eight overall, and Billings trail the Northern Division-leading Helena Brewers by a single game. As was the case Tuesday night in the Sox' 14-5 loss to the Mustangs, there was some good news despite the one-sided setback. That's because outfielder Ricardo Nanita extended his hitting streak to 26 games on Wednesday and can tie the Pioneer record tonight with a safety. Nanita, 21, a 13th-round pick in the 2003 draft out of Florida International University, lined a fourth-inning single Wednesday night. Antoin Gray and Clinton King also had singles for Great Falls Wednesday night, but that was the extent of the White Sox offense. The homestanding Mustangs, meanwhile, had little trouble getting the sticks warmed up before 4,253 fans at Cobb Field. The Sox started left-hander Dennis Ulacia, a fifth-year professional who started the season at Double-A Birmingham and is on the Great Falls roster because of a rehabilitation assignment. Ulacia allowed three hits and two runs in the first inning as the White Sox, who have been victimized early on in many games recently, fell behind 2-0. Billings added three more runs in the second off Ulacia. Joey Votto hit a two-run shot in the fifth as the Mustangs increased their lead to 7-0. The southpaw-hitting Votto, a second-round pick in the 2002 draft out of high school in Toronto, has reached base in all 27 Mustang games this season. Later in the fifth, Bobby Mosby hit a two-run single down the left-field line as Billings poured it on against Great Falls relievers Boone Logan and Mike Moat. Camilo Vasquez worked five scoreless innings to pick up his second victory in five decisions. Carlos Bohorquez worked two hitless innings, and Mark Wells mopped up with a pair of effective frames as the Billings pitching staff, which leads the Pioneer in many statistical categories, dominated the White Sox. Tonight at 7 (KMON-AM), the White Sox of manager Chris Cron will send right-hander Sean Tracey to the mound. Tracey is 3-2 with a 4.33 earned-run average. The Mustangs of manager Rick Burleson will counter with right-hander Derek Hawk (3-0). The Tracey-Hawk battle is a rematch of last Saturday's showdown at Legion Park, which Billings won 7-4. That started a string of six straight games between the two longtime Pioneer foes, and the Mustangs have now won four of the first five.

I want the name of the brand of hooch you drink Actually I think we can do it too. However, there are a lot of question marks and I am not sure we are going to get the right answers. We just have to keep positive. The four games against Detroit can be telling of the Sox chances quickly.

Ed Walsh because he pitched in an era that didn't have speciality doctors, videos, 6 relief pitchers waiting to bail you out, team trainers, player agents, etc... They just went out and battled.
-
Your right on the trade analysis. In fact both teams need better pitching and rumors were flying that the Jays would trade Stewart for pitching. Looks like kind of a wash as far as stats are concerned but Kielty is a switch hitter.

Further explanation from sources concerning Anderson is that he had surgery on his wrist during his junior year of college and he aggravated the old injury while sliding into base. Chris Cron, the Great Falls manager says the injury is minor, but they want to be safe and cautious with Anderson so he is riding the pine for now.
-
I checked with knowledgable sources on Brian Anderson. The Sox organization said that he had what was described as a minor hand or wrist type injury and would be sitting out for a few games. The injury was supposedly an aggravation of an old college injury. The press has not made much of it since they were told it was minor and he would sit only afew games, but it doesn't appear to be getting any better.

How could the Mets do this to us? Have they no compassion? No Morals?

We hear rumors all the time about Manuel being fired and earlier it was both Manuel and Williams getting the axe, but their both still here and if reinsdorf says Manuel isn't getting fired I believe it. I don't think Williams spoke out of turn either.
-
I'll see what I can find out

That's where a great many of the real good pitchers had to start though. If opposing managers give players good reviews that means they see a talent.
