Rare goof by Gordon. T Flow almost made a real heads up play with Lindstrom

Southside Hitmen vs. Emerald City Munchkins
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 7, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) I will agree Rios has become one of the better hitters in the league. He has become very consistent. He looks so comfortable at the plate. Beautiful HR. And to think I despised him at one time. Let's win this game. We're playing a lot of close games again this year. Let's win 3/4s of the one-run games. I think you were right to despise him way back when. He was making a lot of guaranteed money and had one of the worst seasons ever. On top of it, it seemed to have gotten into his head so much that his effort/focus weren't there while it was going on. He has totally changed ALL of that.

Tough break for Dunn. To my eye, he looks a lot better this year. I expect fewer walks based on his current approach, so here's hoping he gets some more hits to make up for it.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 7, 2013 -> 02:53 PM) Big bats coming up, let's take the lead here. QS for Chris, should be it for him? I think so, he's dodged enough bullets for today IMO

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 7, 2013 -> 02:52 PM) Yep, velocity has been fine. I do miss those days when he'd throw an odd 100 mph pitch here and there. I guess I'll settle for an ace, though

QUOTE (Real @ Apr 7, 2013 -> 02:50 PM) sale not that sharp, and his FB is topping out at like 91, dead arm? I've seen him hit 93 several times and 94 at least once. This is his normal speed.

Crazy that Burke could do so little scoring and they still win a Final Four game. Cannot deny the talent of Michigan and how dangerous they are and always have been. I felt like they started to get lost in the shuffle after the mid-season love fest they got. Well, here they are. Here's hoping they all go to the NBA so Illinois can miraculously win the conference!

If an administrator has multiple accounts, I don't think it is worth trying to deal with anyway. ss2k5/kyyle/balta will just destroy you so you either play along or get out. But see how "the administrators" always seem to agree with each other? Fishy...

I have a good feeling about Gillaspie. Certainly wouldn't mind if he winds up pushing Kepp, Gordon, or whomever

Glad Connor came in there, Nate had no idea where that ball was going to land

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:19 PM) Mariners broadcast raving about the Sox bullpen. For good reason, it looks very solid. I think the weakest spot is the closer, and he looks like he'll be just fine.

I know Nate threw 2 innings last night, but I like Robin putting him back out there. Don't want your top relievers to sit on bad outings for days at a time early in the season if you can help it.

We all know better than to read into early season stuff, but I think it is fairly safe to say that good Rios is here to stay.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) How do people write things like this without remembering the small issue he had with a particular type of chemical substance? I don't think he was much of a juicer. He popped for nandrolone, which is a good steroid but can stay in your system for up to 3 years. He would have taken it orally since it was legally available then as an oral (which doesn't work as well as injectables). He tested positive multiple times for nandrolone and there wasn't much he could do about it since he kept testing for smaller and amounts of the same ingestion since it sticks with you for so long. Cliffs: cheaters don't take nandrolone, dumbasses do. Doubtful he knew what he was doing well enough to ever have received much benefit from it. He was a SS for years after he took it. He was probably never a good SS but was once a pretty stellar athlete until he started filling out more.

I like Hector's swing. I don't think he's a special player, but a nice little cut he's got.
