  1. Want. Will be looking to get some of these ASAP. Why is it cheaper to get them when your plates are not about to expire vs near expiration?
  2. Depleted Bulls beat full strength Heat -- luck, chance, nothing to look into. Just a single game, after all. Depleted Heat beat full strength Spurs -- THE HEAT ARE f***ING AMAZING LOOK AT HOW GREAT BOSH IS
  3. Hands down the best part of that video
  4. Totally agree with wite, I hope we can expect more of this from Hahn -- gets a big haul despite selling him at his lowest value
  5. Your background would look better in 1080p
  6. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 2, 2013 -> 10:12 AM) Nice deal, Moore is a bit of a risk and Longopolis (new awesome nick I just came up with) is a bit injury prone but I like him. Sucks to give up Sale but we can't even use him for the next 4 games anyways, so really it's a win.
  7. Hope FGCU can keep things rolling, losing the coach that got them this far could totally negate this run they went on.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 2, 2013 -> 12:34 AM) http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-sports-u...ard-to-in-2013/ 10 positives White Sox fans can look forward to in 2013 Wonder how many of these will turn out to be true? I hope those things happen (if they did, we wouldn't just be an 87 win team) -- more importantly, who proofread that article?
  9. I'm not mad about the lip sync video, I thought it was hilarious, but it would be best if it never happens again.
  10. The main effect of Hawk is making people believe that Steve Stone is some kind of genius. I will gladly concede that Hawk caters to the casual fan more than the avid one, though, in terms of baseball knowledge. He likes to teach parts of the game that anyone who played seriously or has watched closely for a long time would know. My girlfriend, on the other hand, learns a lot from Hawk -- of course, for her Hawk makes a boring game a lot less boring and she's become a huge fan...almost solely because Hawk drew her in. I really think folks underrate this. If you're flipping through channels, do you want Len Kasper (or other faceless broadcaster) droning on about this or that or a guy who actually conveys the ups and downs of a game. In the end, I watch lots of Sox games by myself. Hawk is like my old buddy watching the game with me. Sometimes he says things I don't agree with, are silly, or predictable. More often, though, I feel good knowing I have a guy who is at least as invested as me if not more and is not afraid to show it.
  11. My highest ranked bracket overall is my Illinois Wins bracket. Hmm
  12. You have compromised everything. Thanks for ruining our season
  13. IIRC, many have speculated that we promised Sale that we would put him in the MLB within his first year to start his service clock -- therefore he told all the teams picking above us that he was demanding that stipulation in order to sign. Basically, what other teams do with money, but without money. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 2, 2013 -> 06:06 AM) I'm not sure if it was mentioned but what did everyone think of Reed's performance? He's still missing right over the middle of the plate for me too much. I do like his demeanor on the mound however and he seems to have the mentality of a closer, but he's going to have to locate his stuff better. HE'S GOT THAT LOOK!

    Any Mad Men fans?
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 1, 2013 -> 07:30 PM) Now that Lars Anderson is back, does he go on the 40-man? I think we're full there, unless we can DFA Septimo while he's on the DL. Oh, Lars. I missed him.
  16. Once upon a time, Carl Everett batted 3rd for a World Championship team
  17. I just don't really care if Melton sucks. I'd prefer my bad at broadcasting former players to at least be charming, but in the end it doesn't really bother me. I like Frank on there.
  18. I'll say it as I always do, he's wonderful and he might not be the best if anyone else would do it the way he does. Most broadcasters tend to go with the "if I speak with little enough inflection, they might not even hear me" method with a little bit of "let's pretend I'm not on a local station"
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 1, 2013 -> 04:28 PM) Just got home. Damn MLB.tv blackouts. I have to watch the Royals broadcast. You can watch the Royals broadcast but not the Sox?
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 1, 2013 -> 04:26 PM) You only see Chen at most 4-5 times a year. You see Francouer 19 times a year. I feel like a HR from him is a foregone conclusion
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 1, 2013 -> 12:22 PM) Welcome to 2013, Bryce Harper Welcome to my fantasy team, Bryce Harper
  22. Chris looks as good as I've ever seen him, stuff and command wise. Now using two different speeds on his breaking ball and using the changeup more deftly and effectively than I've seen before. Hope he keeps it rolling!
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 1, 2013 -> 08:09 AM) They have enough DH's under contract for now. They seem happy to have the most horrific defensive corner infield ever assembled. Knowing them, they'll want to make VMart a C again and sign yet another DH to get the old man a title.
