Anyone else here drink almond milk? I just got on to it and like how it fits my diet. I go with an unsweetened vanilla, which is 40 cals/8 oz. That's half the caloric content of skim milk, though I sacrifice the protein content. Allows me to have cereal, protein shakes, etc without adding as many cals. It is about twice the price of milk, though -- unless you drink organic milk, in which case good God is that s*** expensive.

QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 06:44 AM) Not to be snide, but that doesn't change my point. Good idea on your part, nonetheless. Gun confiscation would go poorly. If you think the death panels hysteria was bad, I can only imagine what would happen if they tried to confiscate anything from anyone.

It certainly proves how little we can do to keep guns out of a city when the ban is only at the city level. One only needs a car, a good pair of feet, or a bicycle to start making legal straw purchases or buy things at a retailer.

I think Atlanta sucks. Looks good for SF. I have a parlay on NE -9.5 and scoring over 50. Looks possible at this point, but not fantastic.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Jan 12, 2013 -> 05:10 PM) we have some of the highest cancer rates in the world even though we spend a ridiculous amount on health care. what gives? Don't you think that may have something to do with other lifestyle factors that put us at risk for cancer, like being the fattest country?

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 04:11 PM) So laws shouldn't apply to Democrats. If Diane Feinstein rapes and murders a 6 year old she should be let off because her fighting the EVIL SECOND AMENDMENT has saved so many lives, right? First of all, I have no problem enforcing the laws on David Gregory. If I was the Police Chief, I'd do it. Anyways, my point is not the sum of all his actions is greater than his illegal act (I like to think of this as the Michael Jackson Defense). My point is that the illegal act itself did more good than harm. Regardless, though I think David Gregory used discretion, I'm okay with prosecuting him anyway since not everyone knows better than the law. I'm also interested in what David did with those items -- I hope they were melted down.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 02:52 PM) No, I am fine with tax dollars being used to prosecute David Gregory. What if David Gregory left prison as a poor man with a family, in need of assistance? Do we give him bootstraps or food stamps?

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 02:38 PM) i love how the law is interpreted under the Obama regime. Of course, I said that it seems like he should get in trouble...but this is not the most heinous of non-enforcements. I'm sure you can sympathize, you wouldn't want to waste taxpayer dollars, right? Anyways, it is unclear to me what Obama has to do with DC law enforcement.

While I couldn't argue with them getting Gregory (why not use a prop? lol), it certainly did not serve any kind of public safety purpose in DC. Gregory did far more for public safety by having that conversation with LaPierre and flashing those objects about than the PD arresting/fining him would have done.

Saw Zero Dark Thirty tonight. Not real impressed. It was worth seeing, but honestly I'm surprised it has gotten the nom for Best Picture. I can't exactly put it the way I want to...but I feel like they did the least with that storyline that they possibly could have. Lead actress did well, but I'm overall just kind of "meh" about it. I'm going to see Lincoln tomorrow evening and Les Mis shortly, and then I'll be able to have a fuller opinion on the Best Picture. Django is the leader in the clubhouse by a mile right now, though. Not sure what the Academy will like, but I have a feeling it will be Lincoln before even seeing it.

A big issue is that information is a concern for weight loss and health. There is enough dispute among seemingly reliable people as well as incoherent, contradictory messages coming from those people and others who wish to profit that even an honest inquiry can be totally mind boggling. Its as if youre not allowed to eat anything if you try to combine all the advice in the media.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 12, 2013 -> 02:21 PM) I don't care what the roster is, shooting 25% in half for the 3rd time in four games is just inexcusable. Even they are better than that, but they have no concept of shot selection. I have to agree on that. The idea of taking every open shot was a useful adjustment to Weber, but now it has become a major over correction. There is no offense, movement of the ball, or discretion with shot selection. Almost every attempt feels desperate or forced.
