  1. Quit with this damn camera angle.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:33 PM) Wow. You could be gonzo. Baseball is a weird game. Detroit could lose and you'll be bye bye. I hope the mods enforce this
  3. Maybe we can make Verlander go 150 pitches and have his arm fall off
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) Jake I never thought I would be joining your side with the optimists. But here I am. There is legitimate cause for concern here, but this series/game/inning is not going to be my impetus to hang it up. I've seen too much to the contrary...I'm going to let us get into a hole and play poorly somewhere other than Comerica Park before I lose my mind. Our team is relevant again and I like knowing that the expectation for next season will remain making the playoffs instead of just developing prospects or something like that.
  5. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) Might have been even lower than his ankles. Young was smart he went out and got that pitch before it could break. Hit it way before it reached home. Luckily, he had 5 straight pitches of the same kind to figure out how to hit it
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) The pucker factor is something that has been a whitesox cornerstone for a while. Hard for me to get mad at a team that wants to win too much. See the past few years, where everyone just quit caring
  7. Glad to see Jones using the slider today
  8. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) It isnt really a surprise that Caesar had a meltdown. perma-meltdown
  9. I think the team is pressing
  10. Sale losing his s*** in the dugout
  11. That was a very wild pitch
  12. T-Flow being competitive at the plate. I was dubious about his chances but he's hanging in there
  13. It's weird because you can't say PK has had a good season, he hasn't driven in any runs. A good month could probably make his season look good, though.
  14. The selection of slumpbusters in Detroit is apparently very lackluster
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:09 PM) A piece of s*** human being hits a piece of s*** home run. Honestly wouldn't feel a damn thing if he ends up dead tomorrow. What's his story? All I can remember is something about anti-Semitism
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) Seriously, I feel you watch different games than everyone else. 93 mph to Peralta was the first time he got there all night. I just went through every batter since the 3rd inning and basically every one that saw 2+ fastballs saw at least 92 and most saw 93. Hit 94 to Austin Jackson earlier as well. This is basically the Sale I remember most of the season, velocity-wise. Likes to throw a slow first strike, then mostly 92 and up with 2 strikes.
  17. I hope Dunn can PH for someone when the time comes
  18. I hope Dunn can PH for someone when the time comes
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) His velocity is way down. I'd rather ensure his health for years to come then to force him face the Royals next weekend. Looks pretty normal to me? 91-93 this entire game
  20. Why shut Sale down? I don't see anything physically holding him back. We have games to win and he's going to help us win them
  21. I'm not convinced that they're better.
  22. Anyone up for making Brett Myers a starter?
  23. Big shock, batters get better with each AB against Chris Sale. That's totally a unique trend.
  24. Rios has been finding the barrel, just not quite hitting it to the right spots. He'd have at least 1 HR if this series had been played in Chicago.
