  1. I don't think the organization was thinking about signing a FA backup 3B since we weren't supposed to contend and there were no particular reasons to think Morel would get hurt, excepting some kind of curse on White Sox third basemen. Moving Dayan to third was certainly worth talking about and not necessarily worth doing, though I'm curious what informed the coaching staff that he can't do it since so few of them ever saw him play there at any level (Manto perhaps the most)
  2. The summary here is that it sounds bad, isn't as bad as it sounds, but none of us know how bad it is I think he'll be fine, maybe it'll be a blessing in disguise as our starters will likely make it more clear which belong and which don't
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:15 PM) Forgive me for being so mad I could punch the wall. I feel we CONCEDED tonight's game against a fellow Chicago team in OUR PARK by pitching Zach. God I'm mad. Just as many runs surrendered by the bullpen, reprimand Nate Jones
  4. It's like Hawk whispers into the ears of every Sox pitcher, "this guy kills us man"
  5. Jones knows when to have his bad outings
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) Is Jones' pitching motion conducive to arm trouble? eh, not really
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) Not tonight. It would really be powerful in this case
  8. Holy s*** Hudson that might be the best stop I've ever seen, AJ trying to one up Jones on the wild throws
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:11 PM) Whatever happened to double play depth? Wondering about that as well, seems like we went with the pull shift instead
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) Soriano even getting hits bad bad night. He's the best hitter on that team IMO
  11. If RZZZA brings us a victory, we will all believe in the RALLY RZZZA
  12. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) "But it was a damn good post" is so fitting here. Welcome! I've seen better
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) You are down 6-3, need innings, your long reliever already started the game. I'm fine with Ohman facing a couple RHBs now Agree. Worth a shot QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 09:04 PM) You can't just give away games and expect to contend for a division title! Why lol. And to concede a game to the Cubs is a joke. Well everyone is going to do some of that. What I was lol'ing about was the notion of a reprimand for starting Zach Stewart. This was the quintessential "sacrifice in near term, profit in long term" decision.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 08:59 PM) He was obviously throwing at DeJesus to get payback for Paulie. NEVER FORGET! Naw, if he was doing that he'd be sneaky and hit him with an offspeed
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 08:56 PM) I'd pitch anybody in the world besides Zach Stewart. If we lose this game, somebody should be reprimanded by Jerry; whomever decided on Zach. lol
  16. Rios certainly had that look on that swing
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 08:48 PM) Just getting caught up with the game. I assume Zach sucked. I assume as we all feared we just conceded the Cubs a game tonight by pitching him. Lots of bombs, particularly when his pitch count got out of reliever territory
  18. Come on Dunnski, hit something fair
  19. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 08:45 PM) Stewart is on team only for KW ego because trade of EJ now looking 100% worthless! 40 man roster is irrelavant who cares how many spots Sox have. No. It would benefit KW more to have him in the minor leagues where he can either get better and help us later or be forgotten.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) He's the Greek God of Walks. Something tells me he'll be looking at a ton of pitches. No reason to look at Youkilis unless you're fond of first baseman caliber defense at third base
