QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) and K's, do we dare to go with LOB? I agree, Ks and LOB are far more relevant than HR, RBI, R

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) If I was Manto, that would be my next suggestion. Kenny needs to find a new team for Dunn next year. All or nothing doesn't work in the AL. I agree, it would be easy to replace that production

Dunn needs to do some drills or something. Usually have to we hear about him doing some tee work or something, he pops about 4 home runs the next week

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:54 PM) We're making some absurdly hard outs. And then there's that bunt.

Time for a patented Q recovery?

You might think that given this board's track record at predictions, they'd stray far away from them. But no.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) Or he's just really bad at defensive fundamentals/fielding his position...and part of that's due to the fact that's he is essentially a minor leaguer learning at the big league level this year. It can't be ALL that surprising. I think it shows up in his pitching as well, which is why I think there's a mental block/focus issue at hand. You can't get by without being fully into it at this level, especially at his talent level

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:39 PM) Hawk making excuses... the team looks tired? Doesn't every team play the same amount of games? What is with this 'tired' BS? The Angels don't look tired. Everyone gets tired throughout the season. Going from Minnesota to Chicago to KC to LA with no days off during September is probably a logical time to get tired. Doesn't mean we should play bad, but it does make sense that we would be tired and that it might hurt our play.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:38 PM) Your first negative comment of the year!!! In all seriousness, I really appreciate your activity in these game threads this year. Crusading for patience since 2004

Q is one that I think might be a bit of a space cadet. I don't throw that around lightly but I really think he has a problem staying focused.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:34 PM) I'm going to make the prediction this is the last start we see from him in Sox jersey. Just have a feeling the Sox will try to unload him if they think Santiago can be a starter. Unless he can fetch something valuable, I think he is at the least very important depth.

Hate to break it to you q, you've got to pitch out of this
-
Chicago White Sox @ LAAA California Angels playing in Anaheim.
Just can't get yourself in a spot where you throw this many pitches in an inning. It's like doing a max rep set on bench press, you cross a threshold where you're not going to be the same the rest of the day.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:28 PM) The dude is 23. He might get "Sent down" next year, but he gets a long leash in terms of development given what he's done this year. Yeah, I was referring only to his role as MLB starter. Obviously he'll probably be in our system for a few years even if he doesn't do really well next year.

Lol, Hawk is certainly turning the heel on Q
-
Chicago White Sox @ LAAA California Angels playing in Anaheim.
I'm not ready to close the book on Q, but he won't get a real long leash next year. We won't know until then if this is fatigue related or not.

Does Hawk not like Q's fielding???

What is our record in games when ADA hits a leadoff bomb? The last two that I remember, we lost.

US Ambassador to Libya killed
Why the word "apology"? I haven't seen where someone says sorry. I just see us saying that the government didn't produce a video that has incited lethal violence all over the world nor do we support its beliefs. I have a feeling he can "run the country" while making statements on the numerous things he has to make statements on.

In general, I just don't like those hypotheticals. Too many different events. "if we didn't trade so and so" "if we beat KC more" If we were in a just universe in which we beat KC as much as we should, we'd never be sweeping the Rangers and Yankees!
