  1. I call 'em like I see them. We held Ozzie accountable for BS play like that, I hold our current coaching staff accountable. Alexei has his share of the blame as well, but I guarantee it doesn't happen if they'd run through that in the past week or so.
  2. I am going to hold Robin accountable here. If that play is practiced the amount it should be, it is NEVER messed up in that way.
  3. Someone tell Paulie to quit pouting and run to first base...that's so irritating
  4. I'm so irritated about the pitch calling. Whoever is doing it needs to realize that especially against lefties, fastballs in the same spot four times in a row is just stupid.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 08:30 PM) Just a terrible, terrible pitch to Lowrie there. Not shocked he's lighting us up at all after this last offseason. This is why a lot of pitchers don't like pitching inside
  6. Fastballs against lefties
  7. Wandy getting by with some serious smoke and mirrors
  8. Floyd to break Sale's strikeout record, Soxtalk collectively tells him to f*** off
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 07:49 PM) Nice job minimizing the damage by Gavin. I looked up his numbers, and I had no idea that lefty hitters are just destroying him this season. Until this inning his pitch selection them has been brutal. He needs to use both curve and change more against them. Usually he feels around with the fastball and won't use his offspeed behind in the count -- also stays outside with everything for the most part. Been very predictable that the run of bad starts were all against VERY left handed teams.
  10. Good job pitching over it.
  11. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 07:45 PM) AJ has really made some lazy ass plays this season...good thing he's hitting. Maybe it's the lack of rest. The last thing Gavin needs is his catcher making him earn extra outs.
  12. God damn it AJ go to your knees you lazy motherf***er
  13. His stuff looks really great. Just can't throw all fastballs to lefthanders...it's pretty simple. Zero margin for error when he does that
  14. Iffy call on the wild pitch. AJ needs to glove that ball, Gavin needs to be able to throw it there without being afraid his old catcher will miss it. Overall Gavin looks good so far.
  15. AAA Brent Morel - .615 OPS
  16. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 09:52 AM) If rotations hold, and Danks returns on the 17th, here is what our interleague play looks like: Houston-- Rodriguez vs Quintana Lyles vs Quintana Harrell vs Quintana St. Louis-- Quintana vs Lynn Quintana vs Wainwright Quintana vs Westbrook Dodgers-- Quintana vs Kershaw Quintana vs Billingsley Quintana vs Capuano Cubs-- Garza vs Quintana Wood vs Quintana Samardzija vs Quintana Brewers-- Gallardo vs Quintana Greinke vs Quintana Wolf vs Quintana 15-0 would be very good. looks good QUETZALCOATL
  17. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 04:14 PM) Still would have been all for Adam getting a night off vs. a LHP. Quoting in case of home run
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 12:22 PM) Its really never a pitcher's ball to catch. I think AJ was more upset with Hudson for not letting the ball go foul than not making the catch. It was clearly headed foul and never touched. AJ's ball for sure, especially since he tried to catch it (didn't indicate that he couldn't find it). O-Dog clearly thought the ball was touched by the catcher standing underneath it, but he was wrong because AJ made that bad of a play. AJ got pissed at him for not letting the ball go, but AJ is an idiot for whiffing completely on a routine pop up.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 12:32 PM) Despite the game winning hit last night, I am more than ready for the end of the Orlando Hudson era. It amazes me how a guy who has been in the league as long as he has could be such a baseball idiot. Sometimes you get so caught up thinking that all of your tasks are new at your position that you fail to realize that most of them are the same
  20. As of yesterday, Orlando Hudson has contributed far more to this team that Brent Morel.
  21. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 07:31 PM) I suddenly went from just being ok with Ohman to liking him. Agreed. He wasn't afraid of that b**** Rasmus, and now he's even witty? me gusta
  22. The real question is - when will Dunn hit a double? I'm not sure if it's even possible with the way he hits and they line up against him
  23. GET THIS MAN A GLOVE
  24. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) Unfortunately, starts like this by Jake just makes me think he's losing it. Perhaps fatigue is already catching on. He hasn't had good stuff for his last 4-5 starts. Stuff=good command=bad
