Interesting.... Hawk just said that the Royals won 6-4 at Boston. He must've misread the board. f*** it all.
-
f***ing s***. I knew PK should've been playing the line. GODDAMMIT
-
I just noticed that 8 of our last 9 wins have been by 1 run, and the one that wasn't was only by 2 runs. That's heart-pounding, gray-hairing, life-shortening baseball.

Where the hell is everyone? This is quite odd: 6th inning, and 3 pages in the game thread. Even though the game is on WCIU, it is being shown on MLB.tv, to my surprise and delight. They're not showing commercials though, they're just leaving it at the park, showing a view of the whole field, with no commentary from Hawk and DJ.

For anyone who didn't see it, it was the worst baserunning play I've ever seen (I missed Ruben Rivera's play with SF last year or two years ago). He was stealing second, and Doug roped a hard line drive basehit (sort of) and when Guzman TOUCHES second, he sees Ichiro holding the ball, thinking he caught it, retreats to first . Ichiro throws to second for the force. Doug gets a FC and an 0-1 on his solid hit. f***er.

Hopefully Buehrle can keep Brian Roberts off the bases tonight. That guy pisses me off.

"He picked it like a bowl o' cherries!"

I've now got it. I'm going to go sit back, relax, and strap it down in my rocking chair. Catch you all later.

f***ing Fresh Prince is still on, and MLB.tv is showing the Cubs-Cards on the Sox-Jays Game 2 link.

Last night, as pissed as I was and how much I kept telling myself I wouldn't watch the bottom of the 10th, I did. And I kept honestly believing that we would win. And bam, we get Big Frank as the tying run, and I thought he was gonna tie it up. He popped out, and a part of me died, and I threw myself hard to the floor and asked, "Why? Why make it so close?" It wouldn't have hurt so bad if they went 1-2-3. Unfortunately, I didn't see today's game because I was at school, but I can only imagine what that must've been like. Hurrah!

Again, :fyou Rick White. I thought that one that Maggs hit was long gone at first.

Ooh, I hope they rock him. :fyou Rick White

Has anyone else never been to a Sox home game?

I've been: July 2nd, 2000 v. Red Sox W August 15th, 2001 v. Rangers W August 21-24, 2003 v. Rangers W,W,W,L 5-1 I'm going to be at the Twins-Sox series at the end of July, and at Safeco for Sox baseball on June 5th, 6th. Yeah, those of you who are able to go to a Sox game merely on a whim are SO lucky. -
Oh, it is that cool. Because I get in a damper when they lose, and I've been pissed off today. BAM!!!! They won the ballgame. Makes all the difference.

Ok, here it goes. I was watching the Sox game today, and when I had to leave they were down 3-2. When I returned, I rushed to the TV to see if the game was still on. It was at commercial, and then SoxPost came on. Melton and Andrews seemed a little down, so that was not looking good, and when they were showing the game recap, they stopped after Konerko's homerun, then showed the starting pitching line. When I saw that Buehrle had given up 5 runs in the game, I became extremely disillusioned (assuming they'd lossed), and turned the TV off. Several hours later, I'm watching the Braves-Marlins game and I see on the bottom line that they won 6-5! That's sweet. They went from 10-8 to 11-7 in a split second. What a thrill.

How 'bout them Indiana boys?

I think Kirilenko might be better, but Zach Randolph took a big leap (on the floor) this season. I just don't know if Zach has too much more upside. I think we (The Blazers ) should trade him, because I don't think his stock will get any higher. Now I'm waiting for Theo Ratliff to take home the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. -
Wow. My story is almost exactly like that. Just change Red Sox to Mariners, and 1993 to 1997, and there you go. I loved the uniform colors, Frank (for the first year I thought I was a Frank fan first, Sox fan second, meaning if he were a Royal, they would be my team. That is no longer the case), and becasue of the colors, I picked them for the video games. Also, when Angels in the Outfield came out, and the Sox were the "bad guys" in the last game, I liked that. When I think about it, I'm not even sure how I knew who Frank was.

:fyou Rivera. I really thought Rowand was going to get one. Oh, well. It was a good AB, minus the result.
-
That f***er was in. Gaddamn. PLEASE AARON!
-
Why is it that everytime we're not scoring a ton of runs and the other pitcher is pitching great, "they're playing 'corpseball' " ?
-
If the Yanks closer was ANYONE but Rivera, Vazquez would probably come back out. We need tomorrow's game.
-
That was some nice pitching by Politte. Well gents, this is the inning we're going to need to do it in.
-
His defense sucks, but I really do like him at the plate. He's always a threat to put runs on the board in a hurry.
-
Wow. There's a start.
-
f***ing bulls***. I thought that was a can of corn when he hit it. I hate that jackass.
