any word on Frank yet?
Actually, I don't think that's a bad idea at all. He is at least a lefthanded prescense (sp.... holy s*** my mind is blanking on that one) and is always a threat to hit one out. It would be cool to see him chase 500 in a Sox uniform. EDIT: For those wondering the correct spelling is "presence"

Gamethread 4/17/04 @ Tampa
GAS! GAS! GAS! Hell of a sequence by Politte. That was sweet!

Sacks full of Rays. I think this is the pivotal AB of the game coming up here. It is Goddamned Carl Crawford. He scares me.

s*** Jose. We need to get one more out and come away with the 2 run lead here. Nice outing by Scott Schoeneweis. Very solid start.

Frank's Real Problem
Yeah, I'm not really sure at exactly what that means.

The OFFICAL thank cwsox thread
Congratulations witesoxfan on your avatar. That is by far my favorite drawing of all time. I was at school during the game, so I wasn't watching it live. I probably would have shot something if I saw what Snoch had done. But, hey, a W is a f***ing W.

Interesting Observation
For what it's worth, I think the Red SOx are much more popular than the Braves. People in Atlanta don't really care about the Braves.

Mariners drop another one.
Yep. That was on a Friday night, a game I watched from my home. I went to the next two games, first we lossed 10-0, the next 6,7 to 1,2. I'm not sure the excact score. I do remember in the first one Olerud hit a 3-run homerun and then a Grand Slam next inning. It sucked being with Mariner fans when that happened.

Your Major League RBI leader.
MAGGLIO. 10 Ribbies in 5 games is not too bad. Also tied for The Show lead in HRs.

Yankee Announcers
Is it Kay or Sterling who says, "It is HIGH, it is FAR, IT IS GONE!"?

Mariners drop another one.
I wouldn't have thought that they were going to be the last team to get a win. I think they'll finish behind Oakland and Anaheim this season.

Timo Perez!
I personally think that he is a better leadoff option than Willie/Uribe. Where else in the lineup could Willie hit? 9th is the only spot I deem suitable for him. Right now, he is the one guy who when he is up I am not confident in him getting a hit, I just haven't seen it enough.

Cubs-Reds Beane Ball War
Wow, that was sweet. I missed seeing the way that looked over the past 3 years.

And that's a White Sox winner
Thank goodnees for this victory! I was planning on watching the archived MLB.tv broadcast, but it was not up yet, so I came here. It's amazing finding out an entire game's outcome in 1 second. It's a rush. I'm so glad it was a win, because I would be crushed like I was at this time last year.

Twins about to win
Yes. The f***in Injuns got out of it. On to the 15th!

Twins about to win
Sweet. Runner thrown out at home on GB to first. Man on second, 2 down.

Twins about to win
Again the Indians blew a 9th inning lead, and now the Twins have 2nd and 3rd, no outs, in the bottom of the 14th. WTF?

defeat
When the ball flew out of the park, I yelled "f***!" for as long and as loud as I could. Followed by a few other choice words. Yesterday's loss hit me pretty hard, but I remind myself that everyone loses a game like that during the year. We've got ours out of the way, so let's move on.

Since the game is an afternoon game...
Here's my dilemma. I've only skipped class once in my life, so I'm not too good at it. But, my 3rd and 4th period classes are not important. The problem is, I don't have a car and so I have to walk for about 20 minutes to get home, so I run the risk of getting caught for truancy. And should my mother find out, I won't be watching ANY baseball for awhile. But, you know what, f*** it, this is Opening Day and these are my White Sox, and I'm going to support them.

Since the game is an afternoon game...
No kidding. That was the smoothest ass I've ever seen.

Since the game is an afternoon game...
It is on WGN.

Since the game is an afternoon game...
How are you going out of your way to see it? Since it starts at noon my time, I'm thinking about breaking loose from the schoolhouse a little early. I'm excited (obviously) and nervous about tomorrow. I don't want to start the season like last year. Oh, and I'm also upset that they don't play a night game until 4-16. All of their games start while I'm at school!

Sox get Griffey
What is the exact definition of "jag bag"?

Indians trading Milton Bradley
I'm curious as to why the Mets would rather have Bradley in center than Cameron. Could you please explain your logic?
