Didn't Rowand have a slightly different batting stance this year? It seems to me that he did, and the image of him in that stance while ripping it over the left-field bullpen in the game against the Cubs this year is running rampant through my mind.
-
Ahh! This is all too funny. I picked four names, Person, Jackson, Benard, and Dransfeldt, and I just happened to decide on Benard. But f*** all them, I'm going to be Vic Darensbourg!
-
Ahh. I like the change. Maybe I should adopt the monniker of Marvin Benard?

Which poster here is playing the role of "Mr. Zero"?

Cheat, who the hell is that ghastardly man in your avatar? :puke

C'mon Yeehaw!!!! 2004 AL Central Champion SOX!!! P.S. What the f*** fun is it if you expect your team to lose? s***, going into each Trail Blazers game I expect them to win, even though they haven't been doing to much of that. Call it "lying to yourself" or whatever, I just think it makes watching the games a hell of alot more fun. (Insert "GO SOX" smiley here, which I'm not sure why we don't have one)

There are no pictures showing up for me. I even went to the site and clicked on the direct link, and yet, nothing.

Carl Everett has had a few good years, and one great year. His averages are low due to his earlier years with the Marlins and Mets. Since going to Houston, he has been a fairly good player. I would take him over the Rowand that we have seen so far. I would also kill for ARow to hit .265 with 17 jacks and 68 ribbies. I like Aaron, but I don't expect more than half of the power numbers, and I expect his average to be about that. Here's a gentlemens bet Rex that Carl's numbers will be quite better than Rowand's this year. And here is to me losing this bet, which I hope I do. edit: link to Carl's career stats, for those who are interested. http://www.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/stats/ml...playerID=113946

I read this in Sports Illustrated, and apparently in the eyes of the community, the VICTIMS were the ones to blame. Alot of people were angry at them for rocking the boat. Really upsetting to me.
-
That is the thing. He won't take a minor league deal, especially with the White Sox. As the little blurb said in rotowold, it will take a ML contract. The Yanks apparently have already talked to him. Would he rather come here, or play for the Yanks? Not a difficult decsion. I personally have no problem giving him 2-3 million this year.
-
I think that is funny, because he was on the Goddamned Red Sox, and he could have stayed there for the same price, even more. He must be a Cubs fan. I wonder why nobody makes a big deal that we haven't won the Series in forever. People want to play for the Red Sox and Cubs so they can win their first championship in a million years. What about the Chicago White Sox?!?
-
It looks as though that if anyone gives him a gauranteed Major League contract, he could be had by that team. I think Burkett would be great for us in the 4 or 5 slot. http://www.rotoworld.com/display1.asp?sport=MLB&page=news Also, it looks as though Kaz Sasaki has pitched in his last Big League game. Makes me mildly sad because I loved watching him pitch, just not against the Sox.

You know what? You're right about that. I said it aloud and a large grin swept across my face.

Who will win the battle for the 5th spot?

Why was Scott Schoeneweis not included in this poll? Are we conceding the 4th spot to him? Personnaly, I hope Robert Person steps up and wins the job, though I'd love for Rauch to bust out. -

I have heard this before, but can someone provide background information on this, because I know nothing about it. -
Also, as far as Ben Stiller goes, I am not a fan of Something About Mary in the least. It seriously took me over 5 times before I could stand to watch it the whole way through. I did, and was less than satisfied, wich surprises me, because that normally is the kind of movie I like.
-
My two cents: I like Ben Stiller. I really enjoyed Meet the Parents. However, Zoolander is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. :puke The Royal Tenenbaums is just wierd. As far as Jennifer Aniston goes, I love Office Space and rather enjoyed Bruce Almighty.
-
I would like them just as much. The ONLY connection I have with Chicago is the White Sox. Of course I want them to stay in Chicago, but it wouldn't make any difference as far as my fan-ness( ) goes. I've had a long distance relationship for 7 years, and nothing short of me moving to Chicago will change that.

I really think that Roger Cedeno is worse than Carlos.

Here it is dammit! I've finally found it! Rick White also signs with LA. http://www.rotoworld.com/display1.asp?sport=MLB&page=news

I checked Rotoworld.com, and Robert Person is still a RED sock, and Jackson still a snake. Has anyone heard evidence to the contrary?
-
I know they're not big news, but ESPN.com and MLB.com lists ALL transactions, and I can't find either of these anywhere. I casn't imagine that both of these signings could just come up and bite us in the ass today with no word on any official site about it.
-
So what's up with them signing guys and no one knowing about it? IS the Robert Person signing confirmed? I feel a little better about the offseason knowing that they have done something, although its not much. I see EVERY other single club making moves. Even the DRays and Tigers are making noteworthy moves this winter.

To those who had hoped for Denny Hocking...

The Rockies did sign Royce Clayton. -
I've got a question regarding this. What the hell is "Cominsky"?!? It's amazing how many people I know that refer to US Cellular Field as "Cominsky". Where the f*** does the N come from?!? I was wearing the 1983 throwback a few days ago, and it has the 75th anniversary logo of Comiskey Park on the side, and a dude at my school read it off as "Cominsky". I don't understand the madness!
