  1. Actually, the Detroit @ Texas game earlier this year was crazy too.
  2. 23 multiplied by 2 Equals 46. At the same time, 56 divided by 2 equals 28.
  3. I remember a game in 2000 against Anaheim, where the Angels scored 5 in the top of the first, and the Sox scored 9 in the bottom of the inning. Sox won the game 14-12 or something like that. That game was messed up too.
  4. He lasted 2/3s and we totally f***ing killed him. How sweet.
  5. That commercial was freaking hilarious.
  6. Lower bowl already sold out and Tuesday games are the big walkup nights. Nice weather I'm assuming, we should have 30-35k. I like that.
  7. First, I'd like to say it is Comerica Park. I'm sure you knew that. Also, I have never heard of this guy... strange. I've been to Comerica and have seen no shortage of televised games from there. There is one voice that I know of though, and it is a crazy voice from Kaufmann Stadium, saying (something to the effect) "Hurry! hurry, hurry, hurry, hhhuuurrrryyyyy!!!!" I don't know if it is saying hurry, but it sounds like that. I'm also not sure if it is male or female, but I'd guess female. Nearly everytime I hear a Royals game on radio or watch on TV I hear that damned voice.
  8. That is seriously one of the f***ing funniest things I have heard in long time.
  9. One more thing I forgot to mention, I said the Mariners wouldn't score 10 runs in the whole series, a very bold prediction. I was right right until the bottom of the ninth last night, the Mariners having scored 8 to that point, then the man whose name we do not speak (Lord Voldemort of Harry Potter style) did what he did, giving them 11 for the series.
  10. Also, as far as stupid fans go, I was standing next to some guy right behind the Sox dugout last night before the game, and Shingo walked by and dude asked him for an autograph. Shingo didn't look up but rolled a ball across the dugout before I had a chance to grab it. Dumbass didn't know who he was, then I told him his name and that he was the all-time Japanese saves leader. Stupid says, "Not anymore since Kaz went back he is". I says, "are you sure?", and he gives me a confident "yes". My stupid stepbrother, posing as a Sox fan in my middle of the rotation clothes, says "Ooh, Joel! He knows more about baseball than you!" That pisses me off because I pride myself on this game and know more/care more about this game than anyone else I know (besides this wonderful message board). I told my stupid stepbrother that that guy is full of s***, and I was quite angry.
  11. I went to Saturday's and Sunday's games, and overall I had a good time. There were more Sox fans there than I have ever seen in Seattle. Unfortunately the Sox lost both, making them 0-6 when I see them at Safeco, maybe I shouldn't go anymore. Mariners fans are very unintelligent when it comes to baseball, it's almost offensive. IE: On Saturday, when Bocachica came to bat, the woman to my left asked her man friend how to pronounce his name. He says "It's BOH-KAY-SHE-UH", she says "What?", then he repeats it. I nearly puked. Yesterday, about 2:30, half-hour before the gates opened, Garland was in the bullpen doing his two-day-after throws. From Royal Brougham street, you can clearly see the bullpen, about 50 feet away. A dude and his chick walk up, both in Mariners garb, and the guy tells the girl that that is Loaiza warming in the pen. I told him that it was Jon Garland, and the guy had never heard of him. Last night, I set directly behind the point of home plate, 14 rows up. Sweet seats! Shingo kicks ass in the 8th, and I'm praying Ozzie is sensible enough to leave him in. Koch comes in, and I'm a little nervous, naturally, but I think that he'll likely get the job done. Jose makes a nice play for the out on the leadoff hitter, then 6 consecutive guys reach base. :puke I began to hate Koch the person, not just the baseball player. I made eye contact with another Sox fan, and he looks me right in the eye, and says, "I'm going to f***ing kill him". There were Sox fans all over that were shaking their heads and muttering profanity. About 4 hours later, I arrived home very tired, and still angry. I was stewing over the ninth for quite awhile, and envisioned and furious riot and petition signing over the potential release of Koch and promotion of Shingo. (Yeah right). I can't imagine that even Capn12 could stand by Koch at this time.
  12. What? Jose is a centerfielder. Throw his nine in there, and we can have 17 at a time!
  13. I watch the Mariners every single night. They truly are bad. And yes, Ibanez is their best power bat. Boone has 7, maybe 8 hrs, Edgar has 3, Aurilia and Olerud have 2, and Spiezio doesn't have too many himself. I'm just upset that we won't see Meche and Pineiro in the series. Also, Garcia has gotten terrible run support this year.
  14. I hope he does it in Seattle so I'll be able to see it. Last year they went to Seattle while he was on 1,999 career hits, and I thought I would get to see #2000. Nope.
  15. The Mariners best power bat is now on the DL due to a hamstring injury. I think they'll be lucky to score 10 runs this weekend. Move to the Sports Bar if necessary, I wasn't sure.
  16. Does anyone know if they will be in Montreal or Puerto Rico? I personally would like to see them in Puerto Rico.
  17. When was the last time a Sox catcher hit higher than ninth? Fisk? Karkovice? (who hit his first homer of the year for me last night on my old-ass baseball game ) Even Chales Johnson with his kickass year hit ninth.
  18. Unless he is ready to go by this weekend, I think we should DL him, because you can make it retroactive to whenever the hell he played his last game. Who would be called up in that situation? Does anyone know if this injury has anything to do with the collision in Cleveland?
  19. How do you know how his leg feels? If he could play well, he would be playing. Remember what Wells said about Frank?
  20. I'll one-up you. I get today's and tomorrow's on WGN, friday's on FSN Northwest, and Saturday and Sundays from the comfort of my Safeco Field boxseat.
  21. Why would we not be using the 5th spot for two weeks? We do have games on 6 consecutive days starting tuesday. Seems to me like we would need one.
  22. I assume that is the overhanging upperdeck. It would have to be over the existing seats, because if it were over the concourse, it would defeat the purpose. Am I understanding this correctly?
  23. I'm not completely sure what a homerun porch is, but I assume it would be just like leftfield at Enron, or Minutemaid, or whatever you prefer. can some please explain.
  24. Wild pitches and pass balls are that, not errors.
